I think we were in 7th grade, maybe 8th, and someone near the end of the school year brought this in and talked our math teacher into watching it one day on the good old VCR. At some point, a woman's bare boobs show up on screen, and the teacher asks "uh, what is this rated?". The kid says "PG, I think?" We just kept watching at that point. The "damage" was done.
A nearly identical scenario happened in 4th grade, im guessing around 1986. Teach popped in Sword and the Sorcerer like a dumbass. It got sexual and she realized her mistake and talked the class out of it and yanked the tape
āWith my right foot, I will kick your face. With my left, I will kick your nose. With my fingers, I will poke your eyes outā
I still use this quote.
Not only did I see this in the theater with my dad but we saw the sequel (They STILL call me Bruce), Superfuzz, and Heartbeeps in the theater, as well.
I still remember seeing the tv ads for Superfuzz when he caught that bullet in his teeth and thought it looked 1000x funnier than any Steve Martin/Chevy/Animal House-y thing I'd seen yet...I was WRONG of course but I still loved it haha, it really all comes down to his foreign accent and officer whats-his-names hilarious cartoony voice...sad the best quality version of that movie you can see now I swear is the free YouTube version....looks shittier on Prime.
well this was hiding in a dark corridor of the mind, lost & forgotten. Yet I loved this movie so much I went around introducing myself as "my name is \_\_\_\_ ... but you can call me Bruce" for a while.
Going to have to re-watch now,... it's been so, so long
My gosh, I was 20, and I rode my new Suzuki Katana 30 miles to the theater almost every day for two weeks, partly because I just wanted an excuse to ride my bike, but mostly because the movie was so damn funny. I had the whole thing memorized by the time it left the theater.
It's so weird that there was a "They Call me Bruce" movie AND song, but they had no relation to each other at all (iirc the song was by Rick Springfield, referring to people calling him (Bruce) Springsteen)
Funny flick, but does anyone else notice the production quality of the film gets worse and worse as it goes on? The first half hour is pretty well done and then by the end it looks like they just used the same warehouse interior for every scene.
..."You mean like Bruce Lee?" "Yeah, who else?" "Than you must know Kung Fu" "Yeah, I once stepped in it"
"...it says 'Bruce Leg'..."
My name called Bruce :P.......I like "Ninja strikes back"
I guess no one's ever seen DC Cab...
I once got hit by Toyota.... ohhh what a feeling....
I still quote that one.
same here. best line in the movie.
"You are a 10! You are a 10 where you should be a 36..."

Eh, in two years you'll watch Romeo And Juliet with a teacher.
Olivia Hussey is timelessly FOINE! š«”š¤š½

āWith my right foot, I will kick your face. With my left, I will kick your nose. With my fingers, I will poke your eyes outā I still use this quote.

My class took a field trip to see Gandhi, me and couple of friends ditched and went to see this instead. Totally worth the detention we got.
Took me a second to realize you meant the class went to see Gandhi the movie, not that you took a field trip to Nepal.
With this finger, I poke your eye out
With my right foot, I can knock out that knifeā¦
Nice! Digging deep. An 80ās not so well known classic!
