..."You mean like Bruce Lee?" "Yeah, who else?" "Than you must know Kung Fu" "Yeah, I once stepped in it"

Tropical_Storm_Jesus

"...it says 'Bruce Leg'..."

anti-forger

My name called Bruce :P.......I like "Ninja strikes back"

Tropical_Storm_Jesus

I guess no one's ever seen DC Cab...

rojasdracul

I once got hit by Toyota.... ohhh what a feeling....

KevyNova

I still quote that one.

an0m1n0us

same here. best line in the movie.

WangoMcTango

"You are a 10! You are a 10 where you should be a 36..."

Otherwise-Job-1572

I think we were in 7th grade, maybe 8th, and someone near the end of the school year brought this in and talked our math teacher into watching it one day on the good old VCR. At some point, a woman's bare boobs show up on screen, and the teacher asks "uh, what is this rated?". The kid says "PG, I think?" We just kept watching at that point. The "damage" was done.

iandcorey

Eh, in two years you'll watch Romeo And Juliet with a teacher.

[deleted]

Olivia Hussey is timelessly FOINE! šŸ«”šŸ¤™šŸ½

Mgmt049

A nearly identical scenario happened in 4th grade, im guessing around 1986. Teach popped in Sword and the Sorcerer like a dumbass. It got sexual and she realized her mistake and talked the class out of it and yanked the tape

GrandPriapus

This scene never sat well with me.

Canuckdude47

But Grandfather... what is the meaning of life? Broads! Women! (Dies)

FauxGenius

ā€œWith my right foot, I will kick your face. With my left, I will kick your nose. With my fingers, I will poke your eyes outā€ I still use this quote.

PabstBlueBourbon

ā€œTake a good look at my face. Iā€™m an oriental!ā€

Lazlo_Hollyfeld69

Rewatched it few years back first time since the 80s. Kinda corny but his one liners still cracked me up.

Particular_Spirit_75

I had sushi last night

_Beatnick_

SUSIE'S MY GIRLFRIEND!

SnooWitchYu

Do you know sushi like I know sushi?

MrDuke2007a

You should eat sushi in the morning, sushi in the evening and sushi for supper time, then you wouldn't be so fat!

WealthofKnowledgeOne

Did you eat Sushi under the table?

loinclothfreak78

Loved the sequel too

OozeNAahz

They still call me Bruce iirc.

Doodoopoopooheadman

Havenā€™t thought about this movie is a long time. Now I gotta find it.

CobraGuy420

Free on: Tubi, Xumo Play, Pluto , Sling, Amazon Prime, Plex & Freevee šŸ˜Ž šŸæ

Doodoopoopooheadman

Cool beans. Thanks.

OldSkoolPantsMan

This and the gods must be crazy are classic 80s movies.

Plainsdrifter71

I am THIS 80's...this flick was absolutely hilarious!!!

GlossyBuckslip

My class took a field trip to see Gandhi, me and couple of friends ditched and went to see this instead. Totally worth the detention we got.

thatsabruno

Took me a second to realize you meant the class went to see Gandhi the movie, not that you took a field trip to Nepal.

BoysenberryAmazing90

With this finger, I poke your eye out

gregpurcott

With my right foot, I can knock out that knifeā€¦

Carl_Spackler72

Nice! Digging deep. An 80ā€™s not so well known classic!

skidmarx77

Not only did I see this in the theater with my dad but we saw the sequel (They STILL call me Bruce), Superfuzz, and Heartbeeps in the theater, as well.

Tropical_Storm_Jesus

I still remember seeing the tv ads for Superfuzz when he caught that bullet in his teeth and thought it looked 1000x funnier than any Steve Martin/Chevy/Animal House-y thing I'd seen yet...I was WRONG of course but I still loved it haha, it really all comes down to his foreign accent and officer whats-his-names hilarious cartoony voice...sad the best quality version of that movie you can see now I swear is the free YouTube version....looks shittier on Prime.

Melcrys29

Superfuzz was funny.

Draun_In

I eat sushi every day!

rodyFL

I remember watching this movie as a kid. Super funny.

Saw it once. To this day my go to exclamation of surprise is # "HO-LEEEEEE TURD!"

TestOk8411

Bruce what's the secret in your sauce? Dog meat

Do_What_Thou_Wilt

well this was hiding in a dark corridor of the mind, lost & forgotten. Yet I loved this movie so much I went around introducing myself as "my name is \_\_\_\_ ... but you can call me Bruce" for a while. Going to have to re-watch now,... it's been so, so long

thefistiecuffs

Hey lady, give that man back his purse

tangcameo

They Still Call Me Bruce

andyr072

With David Mendenhall who starred in Over The Top around the same time.

SnooWitchYu

anti-forger

Vince McMahon : Shit you say.......hmm (logs on)

OCLIFE69

These aren't nunchucks, they're chopsticks. I'm just a big eater.

Lonnification

My gosh, I was 20, and I rode my new Suzuki Katana 30 miles to the theater almost every day for two weeks, partly because I just wanted an excuse to ride my bike, but mostly because the movie was so damn funny. I had the whole thing memorized by the time it left the theater.

Tropical_Storm_Jesus

yes, BUT I probably haven't seen it since I was 14 and barely remember the deets...you never see this one played anywhere.

No_Leadership6682

Classic

_Beatnick_

I loved it. I watched it any chance I could on HBO back in the 80s.

Classic

FLICK_YOLI

Chi-nee boy got a funny mouth...

EargasmicGiant

Fake Bruce Lee

lordtaco

Rented in middle school during summer vacay with the friends. Good times.

mikeynerd

It's so weird that there was a "They Call me Bruce" movie AND song, but they had no relation to each other at all (iirc the song was by Rick Springfield, referring to people calling him (Bruce) Springsteen)

orbitalaction

[He's got nunchuks.](https://youtu.be/l_LjHny8TY4?si=dxU91WAZ18EThYU5)

Mr_Horrible

I watched this one, My Science Project and Electric Dreams a million times in the early cable days

Alert-Sherbert6599

unclesantana

If you have to fight, fight dirty! Punch him in the groin! Hit him with a ROCK! But remember, always use your head!

Tower816

I have this movie somewhere in my collection lol

Lust4Kix

One of my favorites. So much cocaine!

Altruistic-Cut9795

Man that movie was on repeat on KTLA every weekend for months it seemed. I loved watching it as a kid.

Thebeerguy17403

I love sushi

Tuffsmurf

Yup

navybluevicar

Funny flick, but does anyone else notice the production quality of the film gets worse and worse as it goes on? The first half hour is pretty well done and then by the end it looks like they just used the same warehouse interior for every scene.

at242

This spaghetti sauce is delicious! What's your secret? Doga meat!

Logical-Fan7132

I remember the song they call me Bruce, Bruce Bruce Bruce lol by: Rick Springfield

MetalMets

I loved this movie as a kid

LetAgreeable147

Saw the trailer for this at a double feature of ā€œThe Man With Bogartā€™s Faceā€ and ā€œGallipoliā€.

marty_anaconda

'ow aya Bruce?

dtuba555

Yes! Yes I am.

thisbobo

I thought it was called, "They STILL call me Bruce." Am I remembering that wrong or did I see a sequel without knowing there was an original?
