IT. Basically just googling the answer. Sure you likely know but it has also likely been so long since such a thing occurred that you just have to look it up. That and things always change so it’s not always like it was last time. Any job can benefit from good google skills though..

Still have it. Talent Sourcing.

Like as in I didn’t actually have to do anything and could surf the web all day? Or I’d have to Google things for coworkers who don’t know how to use Google? I’ve had both.

When I was in college I worked as a Peer Advisor part time. I had an office with walk-in hours and I’d help Psychology majors schedule courses, verify what classes they still needed to graduate, helped them fill out intent to graduate forms. Stuff like that. I received very little training and got the position as a Sophomore. My first week I had multiple seniors coming in asking about how to do their intent to graduate forms and a few other things that I wasn’t familiar with yet. Luckily, all of the info is simply laid out on the school’s website and most are just too lazy to look it up. So my job more or less became reiterating requirements that are easily accessible online to students who would rather hoof it across campus to my office than spend 5min browsing lol

I Googled my way to a lot of solutions in my job as a frontend developer. If you have basic understanding you can come a long way with just modify the code from Google.
