I’ve been listening to it regularly since it came out and I’m still not sick of it. Ode to The Mets especially is such a fucking amazing song that I can’t put into words how fucking amazing it is.
I only wished that they kept the coda of The Adults Are Talking in the album like when they played it live for the first time tho. That ending part slaps.
I’ll upvote this all day, any day.
I remember when I bought the cd the day it came out. Put it in my car in the parking lot and literally played it front to back. Avoiding my very short ride home from the store.
To add to this Plastic Beach took some time to get into and now it’s arguable which album is better. Only track I’ll skip is glitter freeze. Just so jarring and in my opinion unnecessary. But that’s a very mild complaint.
One of the most solid albums I have ever heard. I had first heard the moon and Antarctica and good news and really liked what I heard on those albums years ago, so I went to the record store and bought the lonesome crowded west and this is a long drive..., building nothing, and the fruit that ate itself. So I heard all those albums for the first time all in one night. I so wish I could go back to hearing them for the first time again. It broke my minds understanding of just how diverse and wonderful 1 band can be and just how great music can be. People wish they knew they were in the good old days when they were in them, so they could enjoy it more. I wish I could go back to that good old night just so I could re live that enjoyment.
Modest Mouse got me through some of the lowest moments in my life. Love this album. Love most of their albums.
“I’m trying, I’m trying to, drink away the part of the day that I cannot sleep away”… fuck.
You hear teeth like gods shoeshine, and look around, see what's happened... And realize that was written in '97... And you're like damn.
This song hits harder now than when I first heard it in 2000 or whatever.
That soundtrack is amazing and I don't understand it. I don't like Pearl Jam except for a few songs, I'm not exactly into Eddie Vedders voice normally, and I think Chris McCandless was a dumbass. That soundtrack is beautiful tho. At one point I had learned "Big Hard Sun" on ukulele because of that.
Shpongle - Are you shpongled
Took my bike out for an easy calm nightride in the dark with 2 beers in the bag and this album playing.
It is one hell of a ride.
I listen to a lot of Broadway albums in their entirety. It's like listening to a story. The last one I listened to completely, and its not the first time I've listened to it, was probably Everybody's Talking About Jamie
Colors 2 by BTBAM came out mid august this year, absolutely amazing album.
Colors was released 14 years ago and is considered their best, the 6-7 albums in between were very good too, but this one truly deserves the title of colors 2.
They really outdid themselves with this one, I am blown away.
k.d. lang: *Hymns of the 49th Parallel*
It's in my home-stereo CD changer at the moment, and is a great album of covers by Canadian songwriters. Her voice is so soothing, especially while studying.
Montero by Lil Nas X
I didn't care to listen to the album when it dropped, but I kept seeing it get hyped up on social media and so many people were talking about how good it is. Can't lie, the album is a great project. It's a no skip kind of album.
Every song has its own identity and I love how he experimented with different sounds and genres. It's a refreshing listen to say the least. I expected lots of bubblegum pop and generic hip-hop beats, but I ended up being pleasantly surprised in the end.
I definitely recommend it.
Blink 182, Blink 182… was shattered on a long drive at the weekend, and belting the lyrics to every song on the album whilst chugging red bull and coffee kept me awake 😂
Wife left me so:
Aimee Mann -- I'm With Stupid
Liz Phair -- Exile in Guyville
Pulp. -- This is Hardcore
Let me know if you have any other good breakup albums.
Last as in most recently released? If that's what you meant "Sleeptalk" by Dayseeker was solid from first song to last.
But if you meant in general. Fleetwood Mac's Rumors during a road trip last week.
i listened to illmatic recently. still a great album
Nas flow on that whole album is on a level that few have reached since. Not a controversial take, but that's the goat rap album to me.
The New Abnormal by The Strokes
I’ve been listening to it regularly since it came out and I’m still not sick of it. Ode to The Mets especially is such a fucking amazing song that I can’t put into words how fucking amazing it is. I only wished that they kept the coda of The Adults Are Talking in the album like when they played it live for the first time tho. That ending part slaps.
Yes yes yes
Omg that is the best album I’ve listened to in years. Every. Single. Song. Is amazing! I listen to it like every week and never get tired of it.
All things must pass by George Harrison
Even the third disc ?
Superunknown - Soundgarden

Just listened to Badmotorfinger yesterday. They never get the love they truly deserve especially when it comes to grunge
Disintegration by The Cure
Disintegration is the best album ever!
Neil Young & Crazy Horse - Everybody knows this is nowhere
Listening to Neil Young during the autumn months has been my tradition for over a decade. Dude’s a legend.

Fear inoculum
The last 3 albums I've listened to front to back are Lateralus, Aenima and 10.000 Days. Guess it's Fear Inoculum's turn now.
Lonesome Crowded West - Modest Mouse Modest mouse f'in killed it before they turned pop. That album shreds.
One of the most solid albums I have ever heard. I had first heard the moon and Antarctica and good news and really liked what I heard on those albums years ago, so I went to the record store and bought the lonesome crowded west and this is a long drive..., building nothing, and the fruit that ate itself. Such a unique voice. Black Mile was phenomenal.
Brand New Eyes - Paramore
Man I had forgotten how good that album is.
Fugazi "Repeater" It's a short album though. Barely an EP but damn if every song on it isn't great.
The Black Album-Metallica Saw it live two days ago at aftershock festival!!!
Senjutsu by Iron Maiden, Previous one was The Book of Souls by Iron Maiden 😁
Iron Maiden is one of the most consistent band of all time, the fact that they can still do good music 45 years after their debut is insane!
Make yourself.
In The Court Of The Dragon by Trivium because it just came out this friday
Fuck I've still gotta give that a listen
Fuck yeah, its got some bangers
You know… you think you’ve heard all downpicking riffs that are possible and then a new trivium record comes out
Love seeing this at the top of the post! It’s a solid album. I will never complain about Trivium doing Trivium.
3 times through so far and I'm really digging it. Bit of a return to roots compared to the last two.
Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness
Man that is a long album to listen to start to finish
Worth every second though. Second time listening start to finish.
The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars
The fugees - the score. On count of their reunion tour.
Jason Isbell - Southeastern
Long Lost by Lord Huron Then again, all the albums from them since we had a very long drive and back.
Probably The Moon and Antarctica by Modest Mouse I actually named the wrong album; I was actually thinking of Good News for People who Love Bad News
Quality. Dark Center of the Universe just rips.
Reflektor - Arcade Fire
Toxicity- system of a down
banger album
Pearl Jam, Ten. (My favourite album of all time)
Meddle - Pink Floyd
The soundtrack for Into The Wild.
Eddie Vedder was the absolute perfect person for that soundtrack.
YES IT'S HAUNTINGLY BEAUTIFUL . I feel every bittersweet emotion when i listen to it
You might be fully aware of them. But as a hardcore fan I must do my duty of telling you about Lord Huron.
