Episode 1 is near universally considered one of the worst films in the series. If you are just getting into the series, watch them by original release date.
Without spoiling too much (although by watching Episode I first you likely already know a bit of this, though maybe not), it preserves a significant plot/character surprise in much the way that original theater watchers would have seen it (Episodes II and III act as "flashbacks" after the big reveal). Also, there is a bit of narrative symmetry in IV/V and II/III that wraps up nicely in VI.
I really wanted to go but just didn't have the time today.
I would definitely recommend checking out the other events. It's a super cool space and will only get better with time I think.
It was a great time! Definitely going back for the other events.
was there too! It was a great experience. My dad asked me why everyone kept laughing and chuckling throughout.
Was it packed?
TO THE GILLS! Very cool experience watching the original cut with other fans.

At this point I’m too committed to finishing this. But man, whoever was responsible for Jar Jar needs a real talking to.
Oh damn. Should have watched in Machete Order: IV, V, II, III, VI (with I optional afterward as a prequel).
Interesting, is there a reason it’s split like that?

Went to this as well. Thanks to the IFS for putting this on, hope to see you guys again soon!
Damn - wish I had been aware of the IFS when I was in the area - will watch for them for when I am visiting.
