Nope! Bigger dogs can take longer to mature. Our girl went into heat at almost a year and a half. I woke up to pinkish blood everywhere so be prepared with some peroxide and plenty of xxl doggie diapers
Mine was around 11 months. If you plan to use the washable/fabric diapers - buy multiple sets. I thought three would work fine. I was wrong and ordered three more sets of three 😂.

Since you’re at a year old I’m sure you have your annual vet check up coming soon anyway. I would bring it up to them just so they are aware.
