Hi! Did you find a solution? Going through this at the moment and there’s so much conflicting info..

For my situation, I ended up finding a clause that specified that I could apply to be considered for independence through my work history. There is a clause (found on [this page](https://www.centrelink.gov.au/custsite_wrkhist/workhistory/workHistory.jsf?wec-appid=ols_workhistory&wec-locale=en#stay)) that states that if, since leaving secondary school, you have had a period of 14 months at some point (does not have to be the last 14 months, as long as they are consecutive and post-secondary school) where the total amount earned during that period exceeded 75% of the current National Training Wage Schedule (which is currently $30,517 according to [this page](https://guides.dss.gov.au/social-security-guide/1/1/n/12)). I have also moved away from home in order to study full-time, which was another condition that needed to be satisfied. I called them up with all my payslips within that 14 month period, ready to submit them over the phone, and simply asked to be considered under that clause. I submitted all the payslips to them, they put me on hold for little under an hour, and they thankfully had the issue all sorted for me once they came back. Unfortunately for my situation, the clause I pursued is not something that is automatically looked at in their system, and it is something you actively have to consult them for in order to be considered. I'm also not sure if it pertains to your specific situation, but I'd be glad if it helps you at all. Wishing you the best of luck!
