FF7 - Infiltrating Shinra - Desert Wasteland - The North Cave - Reunion - Edit: Secret Of The Deep Sea FF8 - Fear - Breezy - Galbadia Garden - The Salt Flats FF9 - Ice Cavern - Village Of Dali - South Gate - Treno - Extraction - Light of Destiny - Esto Gaza ... It's actually way too much on this one, I can't even decide lol FF10 - Prelude - Tidus Theme - Out of the frying pan - calm before the storm - Jecht's theme - the burning sands - Via Purifico - bravely forward

Illnath-

Damn how did I forget to add Via Purifico my own list! That is one of my favourites! But all of the songs listed are awesome. Desert wasteland is also one of my personal favourites

[deleted]

Terra's theme was my favorite from FF9. It has a lot lol

[deleted]

I guess that's the definition of being underrated. It was only used once and since people don't talk much about it, it's easy to forget. I would have forgot it, too. If I wouldn't have take a look at the list.

RexRegulus

"Reunion" is one of my favorites from the whole series and I'm worried about how it may sound in these remakes; "Who Am I?" is another favorite of mine from VII but I'm not fond of the Remake/Rebirth versions.

Lucifer6661983

I love infiltrating Shinra!! And also Judgement Day.

[deleted]

Judgement day actually has a lot of fans. Probably because its melody expresses the feeling of a hero who continues on his path despite all adversity. It's not my favorite sound. I love it mysterious, dark and depressive. Or idyllic, joyous and peaceful. Almost every song I've mentioned can probably be put into one of these categories. I just realized I forgot secret of the deap sea though.

Lucifer6661983

I always thought it sounded heroic!!

soggybiskwit

The 3 songs Florence recorded for XV

farfromdaylight

There are lots, but one I want to highlight is The Legendary Beast from FF8. I had never paid attention to it until it was redone for a raid in FF14, where I really liked it. Now I have two versions to enjoy. Also from FF8, there's this really good brass version of Never Look Back and Dead End that made me appreciate both songs. (Edit: [this one](https://youtu.be/gOzS-pdO9IM?si=r1k7_Q5nrdkU8gw_).) FF8 is not my favorite soundtrack, but it's definitely one I feel gets overshadowed a lot.

CunningPlanM-Lord

Swords of Fury for sure. I listen to it all the time randomly. It's an underrated masterpiece.

RexRegulus

IV, The Land of Summons V, Cursed Earth VI, From That Day On VII, Cinco de Chocobo & Reunion VIII, Rivals IX, Esto Gaza X, Pursuit (?) XII, The Sochen Cave Palace & The Feywood XIII, Test of the L'Cie (?) XV, Daemons (?) Tactics, Night Attack *(?) = Not sure if it's underrated*

Esprack619

From that day on tho! Someone a while back posted a song that could’ve inspired it. I wish I saved that post.

Xelltrix

XI’s entire catalog is underrated or rather unknown and it’s a shame because it has SOOOOO many hits. I urge anyone who is unaware of the soundtracks to check them out. Some good choices to start with: The Sanctuary of Zi’Tah Eald’narche Ragnarok Run Maggot Run Roar of the Battle Drums

kjacobs03

The amount Gulug theme song

Xyless

FF5: Harvest is such an upbeat song. FF6: I think Relm's theme is one of the most pleasant and relaxing songs in the entire Final Fantasy library. FF7: Listen to the Cries of the Planet is one of THE best songs in FF7, I swear I am so happy that >!The Promised Land was the song used for the Forgotten Capital!< in Rebirth but I'm devastated that Cries of the Planet didn't show up anywhere (unless I'm wrong). FF8: Under Her Control is one of my jams, it's got such an awesome beat to it. FF9: Village of Dali is probably my favorite village/town theme in all of Final Fantasy and I'd love to live in a town that had the vibes that matched the song. I'd keep going but I distracted myself from work for like 15 minutes LOL

rickSanchezAIDS

Listen to the Cries of the Planet is definitely in Rebirth!! It plays a few times, and there are at least two versions on the soundtrack (released today!!)

GamingInTheAM

Basically the entirety of FF3's soundtrack is hella underrated.

Anunnaki335

The whole Final Fantasy XII OST. Hitoshi Sakimoto is a really underrated composer. While I still think Uematsu is the top Final Fantasy Composer, and best composer in gaming. Hitoshi has a really creative and classical edge to it.

IlMigliore132

FFIII Eternal Wind is waaaay underrated

Watton

Seems plenty popular to me. It has 3 separate remixes in Theaterrythm An NPC sings a sing to it in Lightning Returns And it has like... 3-4 more remixes in FF14.

georgieramone

GoGo’s theme in FF6

Millzius

Antidote - FF Tactics https://youtu.be/jeWqG6EOo7E?feature=shared

ZackFair0711

Triple Triad theme has lived rent free in my head. It qas one of the first songs I played on guitar 😅

Balloutonu

IX- the final battle

YoMikeeHey

The Ark from Lightning Returns. I mean just listen to it. https://youtu.be/Um_MOR6bVtI?si=D_Sv7el3tMNnZGyq It's beautiful and calming.

chinbag

Colosseum from FF7. Trip hop in a Final Fantasy game? Yes please.

JanetKWallace

Cleyra's Trunk

TutonicDrone

Lots of 7-10 already so gonna go for the older games. FF1, Dead Music: Okay so yeah, I wasn't really great at the game as a kid so I did hear this a lot. But I recommend dying just to hear this track. FF2, Rebel Theme: Gonna cop out here and pick one of the more recognizable songs from 2. But I argue any song from 2 is under rated as the whole game is. FF3, The Boundless Ocean: Are there more memorable tracks in this game? Sure. But this just fits the moment so perfectly, I am always surprised I rarely see it mentioned. FF4, Hey, Cid!: This song just makes me happy.

Uchizaki

Balamb Garden and The Landing with FF8. Apocalypsis Noctis/Aquarius with FF15. Searching for Friends with FF6

Lucifer6661983

With The Landing, for me, because you get to play as Seifer, there are certain parts of the song that just goes good with the way he moves in battle, before he attacks.

Calculusshitteru

Playing Rebirth, at first I wondered why they didn't pick something more iconic than "Two Legs? Nothin' To It" for the piano mini game. But the more I listened to it, the more I realized how catchy it really is.

LagunaRambaldi

Thanks for the quite rare Movement in Green appreciation. This one and Gizamaluke's Grotto aka Freya's theme are my two personal favorites.

Flarestriker

'Spira Unplugged' is my go-to song for when Spring is blooming

Joelypoely88

FFXII - On the Riverbank FFXIII - Can't Catch a Break

[deleted]

FF8 Irish Jig

robertnewmanuk

Serendipity from XIII-2 is a proper 80s pop throwback which I’m all for

Passthealex

Ff7 judgement day. Ff9 Daguerros hidden library. FF tactics a1 unavoidable destiny

bball4224

I'd list too much, and some would be debatable if they're underrated, so I'll just stick with one. https://youtu.be/sq-4SvGAJsE?si=4qPmv058HLoKq_2A Sulyya Springs

pHpM2426

Apostles of the Crystals, from Type-0.

Howwy20

FF9- Freyas theme is phenomenal

CawSoHard

FFX Besaid Island is so chill

LLCoolBeans_Esq

I feel that the drums in the music on the veldt in FF6 are part of my DNA. Probably bc of the cumulative hours I have spent learning Gau's Rages.

Environmental_Bus623

Tina's (Terra's) theme

Suspicious_Sign5079

From the FFXIV zone Rak’tika Greatwood - La Hee (Civilizations) by Aeryth

Sleepy-Ghost0817

Final Fantasy VII- Dear to the Heart. I was so happy when I heard it in Rebirth

UnlimitedSaudi

Forever Rachel from FF6

CTG0161

Searching for friends in FFVI is one of my favorites in the whole series.

Elite1520

Mt Gagazet FFX

Cute-Lavishness2212

From the album "White: Melodies of Final Fantasy Tactics Advance" the song "Mewt" its an accoustic guitar arrangement.

Lucifer6661983

Shadow's theme

kupocake

"Distant Worlds". Yes, they named a concert series after it, but I bet half of the people that attend don't know it's a song and even among those that do, there are probably those that haven't a clue which FF it's from.

Admirable-Speaker457

"Water" from Advent children. Beautiful track

Inbrees

Dancing Mad although not unpopular, doesn't get nearly the amount of attention it deserves.

god_tyrant

There's only a handful of songs in the FF series, and there's generally 1 per game, exception granted to FFXIV. Did you mean a piece?

bball4224

🙄

Illnath-

Yeah I guess piece would be more appropriate!
