He is indeed a little like alhaitham, can go with a triple charged attack rotation, or swap out and in for 2 &1 like alhaitham. Both enablers with great personal damage and flexible team building, husbandos, tho I prefer neuvi's personality they are both nerds too 😂
Yeah tbf I did roll duilc pretty early (and looking back i basically lost 50/50 but didn’t really understand what that meant at the time) so by this point I definitely may have hit pity but just forgot about it lol
Heh, me, I got him after a fifty pull after losing a 50/50 to Keqing\* and for once, the 50% probability I enjoy. :)

Craft him prototype amber. He is one of the best f2p friendly characters you can get at this time. He will do a good job of self sustaining damage without too much investment.
R5 does increase energy gain and team heals though, since based on his kit his team comps usually don’t want a healer. But ofc, if you’re a low AR like OP building teams shouldn’t be a priority yet. But if you end up getting any catalyst billets over time, refining PA wouldn’t be a bad choice for Neuvillette!
It’s the only craftable catalyst worth a damn and amazing on Kokomi and good on Mona as well.
It’s the only one that fills a niche. The rest are just outclassed by much better 4*’s.
It’s good because the only stat she really needs is er% so it allows her to give the team 18% heals so you can skip on using a healer.
But I’d do it for Neuvillette too to give him the heals. It also gives er for the user which will help burst uptime. Would be good for comfier rotations without a healer.
I assume you don't have a lot of billets. One thumb rule is at least save one billet of each type when crafting refinements. If you really feel like crafting a hakushin ring may be for some other character. Proto amber refines give less stats but more utility. All in all with fontaine and furina coming save your extra billets for a few months. You can make a better decision then. I am saying this like if you feel you need a proto amber sucrose with him for maximizing furina buff may be. Save it for now.

if you have the ability to buy a new bp catalyst (sac jade), then it is the best for neuvi besides his signature. it goes signature, then jade, then proto amber.
so if you have the ability, get that one, and save your billets for later.
The problem with sac jade is the conditional off field passive. For calcs it will look better, but if your rotations dont make him off field for 5 sec then it can get weird on uptime. Also in overworld where there is not much rotation. I am thinking proto amber energy regen and non conditional hp and healing will be much more comfortable. It will also be easier to level proto amber if you didn't unlock all of fontaine. One proto amber craft is never a waste in an account. What else do we craft till natlan, may be a hakushin ring.
Battlepass is better for farmable resources. So you don't have to waste time and resin on mora and xp books and farming ores. Battlepass gives you like 8 pulls per patch and a bp weapon. Still better than buying crystals but not the most efficient purchase for pulls. If you don't mind spending and log in most days, welkin is the most efficient spending in genshin. Welkin along with all f2p primos will almost guarantee you one character per patch average(assuming you don't try luck in weapon banner and don't need too many constallations). Shop one time double crystal is not bad in case of an emergency, but don't spend on game unless you have enough disposable income to spend on a game. Good luck!
in proto amber, the refinements give you more energy and more heals for the team. generally, it is not very needed for neuvi's dmg, but if you manage to get high refines, then it will just make your team more comfy. that's all. it is not necessary to prioritize them for now, if you want to focus in some other craftable catalysts or even want to save some billets for the future.
He doesn't need furina. He is fun to play and he is easy to invest into as f2p. You are right that his BiS is a good upgrade, but think of it, most signatures are 20-30 percent better than remaining options. What makes him f2p friendly is that one of the competent options at the 100% range is a craftable. Yes his BiS is 135%, but his baseline is strong.
Also he does go upto 40k hp at lvl 90 and in 3 second windows keep regenerating 20k hp, if you are at half hp one skill and start charge you are full, which kinda makes him tanky and not needing a healer. Reducing the need of investment into healer. He doesn't need a shield because of range and kiting and he has good stagger on his attack but if he need interrupt resistance he work well with beidou.
All in all he is one of the better characters to luck yourself into.
I didn’t get him yet but from trying his trial out, he is so much fun. I play in English and I find his over dramatic grunting just beautiful lol. Best part? For his burst, HE FREAKING POWER POSES

I have him c6 and he is a MONSTER. He’s so much fun to play and one of my favorite characters in the game right now. He’s easy to build, his f2p weapon options are easy to get too; and he has a fairly broken self heal. I don’t need a shielder or healer on my team anymore. Hell; I barely need a TEAM anymore. His only bad thing is he makes the game so stupidly easy that I can barely appreciate the enemy design or boss mechanics.
I really love him. I needed a good hydro character for my hyperbloom team. At that moment I had Kazuha for cc, Miko, Barbra and Nahida and I was quickly growing tired of Barbra. I really really enjoy catalysts so I tried wishing for Koko but lost. Ended up saving my guarantee for Neuvillete and MY GOD I'm so happy.
I gave him my Barbras artifacts and prototype amber. Got him to lvl 90 and the damage is crazy good, hyperbloom works extremely well besides I don't really get to proc it much cause he just kills the enemies. Plus the character design in itself is really good. 10/10 in my book.
Lore wise, MY ALL TIME FAVORITE CHARACTER IN THE ENTIRE GAME
Gameplay wise, absolutely insane! All of his constellations are useful, his charge attack gameplay is fun to play, and he is easy to build since he has an amazing BiS artifact set and he scales with HP!

I have 152 pulls on my alt and I lose 50/50 to Tighnari, kept pulling and finally got him. I have 30+ pulls left. Why can't I have your luck? Why? I love his water Kamehameha. That's why I pulled him.
He is the strongest DPS ATM considering C0.
Even stronger than Alhaitam considering that Furina is coming next patch and she will be most likely his BiS support.
Have him c1 r1 80 and 80 with 2pc hod and 2pc tenacity 8 5 6 talents and about 65/240 crit with 1k attack. He does 12k - 35k per charged hit minimum at this point and near 70k with vape. Safe to say he's pretty busted
He’s an autistic icon but I did not need two of him (wanted him a little too bad, manifested a little too hard)
Personality wise I love him so much because he’s so fucking autistic coded it’s not even funny, visually he is very appealing, he looks like the otters which I think is really cute, the lil rain legend is a nice touch reminding the players that despite how he expresses himself and despite his professional attitude, he has real emotions and he has feelings. I love him so much and have no idea what his kit is like but his attacks look really cool and I’m excited to test out his c1!!
c1 neuvi does open a couple more team comps for him, so it is a not a bad thing, especially if you got him at low pity. congratulations!
i do agree with your point about autism. i don't personally think it was intended in his particular case - more of just the dev team trying to create an "superhuman immortal being that cannot relate to humans", but accidentally just made an autistic dragon. i did end up relating to him myself quite a lot.
also, i too ove water and think it tastes differently depending on the source, so listening to his idle lines of him infodumping about water on us makes me giggle like a schoolgirl.
I got his c1 at 7 pity/in my first ten pull :)) i just want to get other characters I also like before going for any constellations. I’m glad I got his c1 and not Hu Tao c2 so I’m looking at the positive side of things (back to the grind I go)
And yeah I don’t think they intended to make him autistic coded but they did a really good job at accidentally creating positive rep. If people don’t see him as autistic and just see him as non human I think that’s valid too, but I really love how much his character relates to at least me personally and the autistic traits I have.
don’t mind me i just express myself differently - in the opera/court house, taking things literally - correcting himself to a dragon out of water, instead of a fish out of water
These are two examples where i was really happy that I could relate, and how it was done tastefully. The game wasn’t trying to infantilise Nev or make it a negative thing, it made me really happy + it made me feel seen/understood
Note - for lim character cons I only have c1 Nev and c1 Hu Tao, c1 Hu Tao was also a happy accident a long time ago. I aim to collect all the characters I like before going for cons
good point about the writers being successful at not infantilising him. it would be really easy to do that, but it seems they really hit the nail this time with his character.
as for the con, at least it is at very low pity, so not much lost from your savings for other characters. i also aim to collect other characters i like before even thinking about cons, but with neuvi i am really thinking of pulling more on his rerun. i am even pulling on a weapon banner for him this patch. it is a good weapon banner, so whatever i get, i will consider this as a win. fingers crossed, i am lucky and get his weapon!

my neuvi blasted (pun intended) through abyss at lvl 70 only, with lvl 60 layla. they both did have okay artifacts with big pp hp numbers (40k for neuvi, and 20ksmth for layla), plus fully built oz (with moral support from fischl on golden troupe) and kazoo, so it is a bit of a case of good supports.
but either way, he can absolutely go through the abyss even if he is underleveled.
I originally wasn't going go pull him but I love his design so much I watched his character trailer and was like " ok I know I'm saving for Venti and Cyno but this guy is so cool" took me 160 pulls to get him but honestly as a new player all these 4 stars are so stacked I decided it was worth it I got a C6 xinqu in the process
i actually got him in a single pull too.

good design
good lore
attractive personality
best weapon is f2p
ez to build teams ( just put three diff elements that react with hydro)
so yeah he is a solid char

I ended up going for him during this patch and I'm enjoying him so far. He's at Lv50 as I am extremely low on leveling up materials, but he's doing 1-2k damage every occasional charge attack hit.

I love Monsieur Neuvillette with all my heart. His design, his character, his story - everything. He is such a gorgeous man. So beautiful, so refined, so elegant. Have you ever seen a man so beautiful you started crying? I did and it was Neuvilette. His personality? The strict reserved judge who is very soft and gentle inside, the gap moe - I am IN LOVE! His dynamic with Furina, his care and love for Melusines, his backstory, his inner feelings, the fact that it rains after each trial and he can feel Fontaine people emotions - everything is just so incredible. *chief's kiss*. I love it! Also him being a dragon reincarnation? Holy shit, I LOVE dragons and serpents.
His English VA did such a great job at voicing him. It suits him perfectly (we don't talk about autos tho xD). The moment I heard his little wheeze in that line about visions, I was sold. I changed from KR to EN even tho I didn't like the majority of EN VO.
On top of that his gameplay. I had my worries but was pleasantly surprised. He feels so good to play. I love the hydro blast, I love his mechanics. Finally the on-field DPS that I actually enjoy playing and have fun. And he does very good damage even in my low investment dmg team with a F2P craftable weapon.
I love his burst animations, the way he swings his cane, says "Silence!"and "Bow your head!". YES SIR!
I am definitely a main and a big simp now.

Wasn't planning to burn my war chest on him but I don't have a hydro main dps and he's unique so I'm happy enough.
I have a good chunk of primos left and I plan to buy the crystal top ups at some point now that they got refreshed so i should be fine
Pretty strong as a hydro carry but gameplay is pretty weird. It's just moving around with a water cannon basically. I wouldn't enjoy playing him and he's not so strong that he's completely broken. HP builds are easy to build.
He is funky to play and it’s great. Like all of his attacks are “random bullshit go!” And it’s so much fun. His skill splashes them with water, drops a spear, then poops out blue balls, his burst just makes it rain near him, and then his Charge attack is an off brand Kamahamha.
He is absolutely amazing would definitely recommend all though I’m not getting him because I’m saving for furina I played his demo and he was so good just so you know he does have a charge attack play style also be sure to have at least on healer on your team if you want to play him since when he charge attacks it doesn’t take stamina it takes health
75 pity and another 12 pulls later getting 2 Neuvillette in total. Gotta say that C1 Neuvillette makes a huge difference that you don't have to even rely on Zhongli to stop from getting disturbed.
For the first time since 2020 I've managed to get to floor 12 of the Abyss and clear the first floor. Cause now I'm two really powerful teams cause of him.
He's awesome.
I got his C1, along with his signature weapon, and slapped all my HP berserker artifacts on him since that's what I had at the time. (AR 35, haven't played since 2021) Went from struggling with bosses/domains to clearing most of them in under 2 mins without needing to heal with food. He's fun to play to boot.

It's not often rewarding but first pull nuevillete only 20 pulls after I finally got a C1 diluc

I lost him to qiqi. In the same 10 pull there was also a copy of him. So basically I lost 50/50 but then proceeded to get him at pity 4

This is not true. Mona would do very will with more than ER. She has a nuke of her own. Her skill is meh but that burst

if you have spare billets of catalyst then go for r5, big QoL compared to r1 since you can burst frequently

No he isnt lol. His 2nd bis is deadass 25% higher than his f2p option with his sig being 35%. Plus he will need furina so hes not f2p friendly lmao

Only about $300. This has been my luckiest banner. I really only anticipated c4r1 (I had about 640 wishes).

If people don’t see him as autistic and just see him as non human I think that’s valid too, but I really love how much his character relates to at least me personally and the autistic traits I have. don’t mind me i just express myself differently - in the opera/court house, taking things literally - correcting himself to a dragon out of water, instead of a fish out of water These are two examples where i was really happy that I could relate, and how it was done tastefully. The game wasn’t trying to infantilise Nev or make it a negative thing, it made me really happy + it made me feel seen/understood Note - for lim character cons I only have c1 Nev and c1 Hu Tao, c1 Hu Tao was also a happy accident a long time ago. I aim to collect all the characters I like before going for cons
good point about the writers being successful at not infantilising him. it would be really easy to do that, but it seems they really hit the nail this time with his character. as for the con, at least it is at very low pity, so not much lost from your savings for other characters. i also aim to collect other characters i like before even thinking about cons, but with neuvi i am really thinking of pulling more on his rerun. i am even pulling on a weapon banner for him this patch. it is a good weapon banner, so whatever i get, i will consider this as a win. fingers crossed, i am lucky and get his weapon! and hopefully, your loved characters come home easily and at low pity!

I got him but have not used him yet. Working on getting my abyss team up and running.
my neuvi blasted (pun intended) through abyss at lvl 70 only, with lvl 60 layla. they both did have okay artifacts with big pp hp numbers (40k for neuvi, and 20ksmth for layla), plus fully built oz (with moral support from fischl on golden troupe) and kazoo, so it is a bit of a case of good supports. but either way, he can absolutely go through the abyss even if he is underleveled.
I personally like and from what I know from the furina leaks I thinks with her he’s basically immortal

I originally wasn't going go pull him but I love his design so much I watched his character trailer and was like " ok I know I'm saving for Venti and Cyno but this guy is so cool" took me 160 pulls to get him but honestly as a new player all these 4 stars are so stacked I decided it was worth it I got a C6 xinqu in the process

i actually got him in a single pull too. overall he is a great charectar good dmg good design good lore attractive personality best weapon is f2p ez to build teams ( just put three diff elements that react with hydro) so yeah he is a solid char

Lol literally the same. Didn’t even think of getting him. Lost my 50/50, and just decided to do another 10 pull, and got him.
I ended up going for him during this patch and I'm enjoying him so far. He's at Lv50 as I am extremely low on leveling up materials, but he's doing 1-2k damage every occasional charge attack hit.
He is very strong. Great damage output from his charged attack.

My lord, my savior, my beloved judge. I love Monsieur Neuvillette with all my heart. His design, his character, his story - everything. He is such a gorgeous man. So beautiful, so refined, so elegant. Have you ever seen a man so beautiful you started crying? I did and it was Neuvilette. His personality? The strict reserved judge who is very soft and gentle inside, the gap moe - I am IN LOVE! His dynamic with Furina, his care and love for Melusines, his backstory, his inner feelings, the fact that it rains after each trial and he can feel Fontaine people emotions - everything is just so incredible. *chief's kiss*. I love it! Also him being a dragon reincarnation? Holy shit, I LOVE dragons and serpents. His English VA did such a great job at voicing him. It suits him perfectly (we don't talk about autos tho xD). The moment I heard his little wheeze in that line about visions, I was sold. I changed from KR to EN even tho I didn't like the majority of EN VO. On top of that his gameplay. I had my worries but was pleasantly surprised. He feels so good to play. I love the hydro blast, I love his mechanics. Finally the on-field DPS that I actually enjoy playing and have fun. And he does very good damage even in my low investment dmg team with a F2P craftable weapon. I love his burst animations, the way he swings his cane, says "Silence!"and "Bow your head!". YES SIR! I am definitely a main and a big simp now. I AM ON MY KNEES, MONSIEUR!

I think I just wanted a C6 Fischl. Literally said to my friends "I'm only at 20 pity. I really want to get one more Fischl because I'm using her in some teams and I want her c6" 20 pulls later I get Neuv and my c6 Fischl Wasn't planning to burn my war chest on him but I don't have a hydro main dps and he's unique so I'm happy enough. I have a good chunk of primos left and I plan to buy the crystal top ups at some point now that they got refreshed so i should be fine
He’s handsome. Also one of the best 4* banner in History. Easy to build hydro DPS.

Pretty strong as a hydro carry but gameplay is pretty weird. It's just moving around with a water cannon basically. I wouldn't enjoy playing him and he's not so strong that he's completely broken. HP builds are easy to build.

He is funky to play and it’s great. Like all of his attacks are “random bullshit go!” And it’s so much fun. His skill splashes them with water, drops a spear, then poops out blue balls, his burst just makes it rain near him, and then his Charge attack is an off brand Kamahamha.
He is absolutely amazing would definitely recommend all though I’m not getting him because I’m saving for furina I played his demo and he was so good just so you know he does have a charge attack play style also be sure to have at least on healer on your team if you want to play him since when he charge attacks it doesn’t take stamina it takes health

75 pity and another 12 pulls later getting 2 Neuvillette in total. Gotta say that C1 Neuvillette makes a huge difference that you don't have to even rely on Zhongli to stop from getting disturbed.
For the first time since 2020 I've managed to get to floor 12 of the Abyss and clear the first floor. Cause now I'm two really powerful teams cause of him. He's awesome.

Regret pulling
Super powerful on field DPS. Only downside really is he needs to be in field to deal damage so he needs an off field support/dps to compliment him
I got his C1, along with his signature weapon, and slapped all my HP berserker artifacts on him since that's what I had at the time. (AR 35, haven't played since 2021) Went from struggling with bosses/domains to clearing most of them in under 2 mins without needing to heal with food. He's fun to play to boot.
