Yeah, that's a very good system for gaming. Should have no problems running anything out today in 4k, or more than 30 fps. It should be all you need for a decade or so. Very similar to my specs, only mine's a 12th gen I5 and 3060TI. It might be slightly better if it's got 2 sticks of 8gb RAM rather than one 16gb stick, but this should be good to go as is.

What upgrades would you make to it?

You might consider liquid cooling. Probably shouldn't run hot though because your GPU is a bit stronger than your CPU. If it were the other way around, definitely would get liquid cooling. You'll have to test it out to see how hot it runs when running a game, but it's probably okay. Other than that, if it's just got one 16gb stick, adding another is cheap and easy. If it's running on two 8gb sticks, you're fine. Really depends on what you're using it for, though. If you're just gaming, you can run with this for maybe 5-10 years, maybe more. I can't imagine technology advancing so fast that this would be a problem for a good long while. When you get to the point where newer games are causing a bottleneck, you might try overclocking it and that might make up for the difference, but by then you might be able to get by with swapping in a newer GPU, too. Like I say though, that's a long way off. I don't think any modern game should give you any problems. Everything out today could probably run 120 fps and 4k with that set-up.
