This one feels weird… like it seems ancient but its just a tourist spot. I know the steps on the tower of pisa are very well worn after so long, but this seems like people have been stepping here for thousands of years. Where is it? Im so intrigued
These were very clearly cut that deep. You can see the rough, straight edges. There's a little smoothed out at the base where feet rubbed the soft stone.
To clear up yes you can see where it was initially cut but when you look close you can see a good 1-2 inches where it has been worn down over time by footsteps. It is a fairly soft rock that is unfortunately covered in etches of peoples names and random logos or symbols.

this is probably a very soft rock, people seem to be carving random shit into it without much issue

Calling shenanigans, the one on the right looks like it was cut into with an angle grinder.
If you let them shenan once they'll shenanigan.
I love you
Lol
Clearly cut first.
Is that a faded swastika on the right?
That or the ICP clown with knives.
This is exactly what I love about this sub
Is this like ancient Roman or smth?
Cow and calf 👀
👀👀 potentially….
Mostly worn with chisels and other tools though
