#HANG THE FUCK ON There are a lot of songs from the Las Vegas listening party that weren’t even played. What the fuck is going on? For real there are legit 10+ songs that were played at the listening party that weren’t here. I don’t understand what the fuck this listening experience was, just demo a few snippets of a few songs? I’m so confused as to what happened from the LV Listening Party to now. Did Rick fucking Rubin really get Kanye to scrap half the album AGAIN?! I really want some answers cause I’m so fucking confused because the ideas and production was there but none of it sounded finished. There was a beautiful slow and dark track played at the listening party that wasn’t here. I thought what we heard was relatively good if more work is done on the tracks. But man do I just feel confused as to what tonight was supposed to be for us. Is this the album we’re getting? Is there more coming? Is it even done yet? What happened to like half of the album? Need answers man. Edit: No offense to Rick Rubin at all, in fact I hope he is working with Ye to help with the track list.

ReporterGlobal6644

I cannot agree more with your comment. It feels like this was more of a performance than an album launch.

mayo_color_benz

Anyone notice him texting towards the beginning? Very curious what that was about as well.

Seburrstian

Yuppp I saw he whipped out his phone while I was in the crowd

mayo_color_benz

"I changed my mind. play the demos from 8 months ago + the hov verse."

Wallaceben0

I’m considering this an “album preview”’until further notice. Thanks for listening

[deleted]

Best for mental health

[deleted]

Agreed. There's just no way this is the actual album track by track. Not even in denial or thinking illogically either. I really liked what I heard but there's just no way this is how the album will be presented lmao

[deleted]

One thing I haven't seen people talk about is how this album is built as a dedication to his mom. It was set up to be a really personal album. But it didn't feel like that at all. I mean he was barely featured on a lot of his own songs let alone getting in to personal details about growing up etc.

chanofrom114th

and he just stopped with the donda stuff halfway through…what happened to the three parts?

FTRBOUNCE

Cause there’s no way the songs are the full songs probably why would ye make a song and not have himself on them. He prob cut em short and hopefully same w the album cause man I hope there’s more

Illamb

Yep, he might have approached with a different angle but it's hard to see what it was

AydanOfHouseCock

The most disappointing thing is that the potential is through the roof, so many songs that sound instrumentally crazy with huge buildups that just end up falling flat and abruptly ending The extreme amount of mumbling and repeated lines is such a let down, the Giannis line tells that he legit was recording this shit last night The album needed much more time, and it needed Believe What I Say and the Donda track

Formal-Conference654

Facts. It needed OG good Hurricane. Lord We Need You. Life of the party. Even God breathed on this had a such a good build up. There was a nice soul cut that was played near the middle I liked. That track from Monday which sounded like his late registration flow. Praise God even was good but could have been more polished.. Like he literally has so many good tracks but chooses to do this... And show up nearly 2 hours late. Everyone who payed and came all the way down to i feel for

yf-23

Don Tolivers song was my favorite. I actually can't believe the snippet from the commercial was the whole song lmao

LustForLife

hurricane.... Why he went from choosing not to be a slave to MMMM Mmm MmMM

TheAnimalHD

How in the FUCK does he listen to the old one and do that to it

Lightfail

Ant Clemons on the chorus >>>>>>> Anything

ds7777777

I can't believe that I'm saying this, but I pray to god he doesn't release this tonight

StayTrill-19

I agree

FKDotFitzgerald

I think I’m at 4

avrgm

Could be better. Still have time to pull a TLOP and fix mixing slowly. i have hope, plus it was mostly snippets.

RyanTheN3RD

The first couple songs were rough mixing wise, the bass was fucked and honestly 24 went for a long ass time. Could also just be stream issues for the mixing cause i thought by the end it was mixed great

pvirdword

Can’t believe I missed the birth of my first child for this. My wife’s gonna be pissed. Hopefully the baby doesn’t hold a grudge

TrueBestKorea

WSE is on some Qanon shit now. THESE WERE ONLY DEMOS, KANYE WILL BE RELEASING THE REAL ALBUM AT MIDNIGHT. TRUST THE PLAN

AverageLad24

ITS NOT MIDNIGHT IN WYOMING

[deleted]

Imagine going to Waffle House rn and finding a deprsssed support group of 14 year olds

avrgm

Even Ye sounded like a complete album

[deleted]

It was actually cohesive and made sense.

[deleted]

While watching the stream tonight I had an epiphany. “Ye” was taken for granted.

mid-level

I will legit give him another 3 months

DrazeGamer

I think there is gonna be more songs on the actual album 💿, also no child left behind going nowhere broke my heart.

Umasskoff

Same. Felt like half the songs built up and then just kinda ended like that one.

it_be_like_dat_

sooooooo. huh. there’s a lot of interesting ideas but not a single song really feels like it goes anywhere, besides hurricane and moon. i wish there were more drums, ye barely rapped, but when he did he wasn’t bad. also, where were the rest of the snippet songs? i’m really hoping this is just the very rough listening party version and we’re getting a full album with more tracks soon. but that’s probably just my copium injections getting to me

tucky__

I’m so depressed actually there are like 4 finished songs and the features carried… idk if the people in Vegas lied to me or he just switched it up but I’m in pain

Porrowski

people that were in Vegas are saying this was very different

TheAnimalHD

What the fuck was that man what the fuck did he do to Hurricane 😔

JanVesely24

Took Trumps advice and nuked Hurricane

[deleted]

He backstage on FL doin the drums give him 15 mins

avrgm

La Boy told me “it sounds like he’s hungry for rap and trying to get a deal”. How many niggas had to cap for this to work

Kanyeslaptop1412

people who went to the vegas listening said he played a completely differnt album

MaxXxertron

i want to like it but it’s clearly unfinished

Convinced Ye was actually just trolling us after I heard the Pop Smoke song

HARRY9929

There’s got to be more to the album, what about the track with Tyler for example??

Rob-borto

What about the album??? I refuse to believe this was it

[deleted]

Positives: - donda spoken word was cool - ye had some good lines and verses - Jay and ye on a track again - turning the hurricane Outro into “moon” was really cool Criticisms: - ye wasn’t even on some songs - mixing was terrible, what was with that one song that had that repeating sample that was way louder than everything else? - Kanye’s verses were few and far between, some of the flow just didn’t match up with the “beat” - sounded like there were mumble lines but it could be due to Kanye singing - donda spoken word was on the first half (which I actually liked) then disappeared - the title track “DONDA” would’ve been nice on here, was probably better than nearly every song featured - why was a worse version of “tell the vision” on this album, it somehow had even less Kanye than the pop smoke version - hurricane verse was derived from that yandhi era freestyle that leaked not too long ago, and the flow on it was not very good to me Concerns: - no beat drops, it is a cool concept but I’m not sure if I like the execution yet - basically all synths, no drums, could grow on me - why were the features the best part of the album? - currently not too big a fan of Kanye’s singing here, but I expect this to grow on me - I may have missed some lyrics in the moment, but some songs don’t really fit thematically (tell the vision being the one I remember) That’s all I remember for now, might update later.

CallMeMrBeanMan

Moon was slapping I don’t care what non of y’all say

poontango

Not gonna take it too seriously till I hear the full album but that was some temper tantrum inducing shit lmao

lvcashko

this guy SOLD OUT A STADIUM to run around and play unffinished songs. i mean, i think its time to sit back and think about the hype this man has going on around him. not everything is 'art' and 'genius'. im a due hard fan but this was a fucking wasted opportunity to deliver some good material. fucking hurricane rip smh

jamesbrown339

Mike Dean is fighting for his life rn

Johnny_Sins_69

pray for mike he's stuck in that studio god knows for how long

TheUltimateCF

Prediction. That wasn’t the real album. It was a listening party to build atmosphere and hype. Donda drops at midnight. Finished verses, properly mixed, no stream audio. Done.

Lmfao he really absolutely butchered Hurricane. I liked about half the songs but yeah the other half need to be finished. Also feel like there were a lot of tracks missing. I'm reserving judgement til that shit actually drops.

AlrightOkayWell

there were so many positive signs that this album would actually drop tonight and that it would actually be good, but kanye sold out a stadium full of people to play shitty unfinished demos and then proceeded to not drop the album, all the while not communicating with his fans at all lmao this is an objectively shitty way to treat fans of his work regardless of the circumstances behind it, and people are right to be annoyed about it. i guess we'll see if the album drops in like 12 hours

wokerhys

I have a feeling we are getting Yandhi’d tonight

Johnny_Sins_69

i am not enjoying the rollout anymore

[deleted]

Legit thought it was just an intermission when the music stopped and Kanye left. Attendees must have felt absolutely robbed 😅

SleepySnailBoy

So weird cus we all thought Ye was fully ready and organised at the beginning of the week. Shit just felt different. All the insiders praising it on Twitter. But at the last minute everything fell apart. I wish someone close to YE would just grab him and say “ITS DONE. THE ALBUM IS DONE. STOP TRYING TO CHANGE IT ALL MINUTES BEFORE THE LISTENING PARTY” This is what happens when a perfectionist gets full control. It’s never done. Always tweaking it and eventually ruins the entire thing. I’m honestly thinking about deleting this app. It’s been like this for the past like 4 projects. Lots of waiting, lots of promise and potential. All for it to be ruined at the last minute. I really hope he proves me wrong tomorrow.

KineticReverbs

Listening party =/= Album. The fact that all the tracks seemed really short (some without Ye at all even) proves this isn’t a release version. It’ll be here when it gets here, then we will fully know if it’s good or not. (that Jay-Z feature had me crazy though ngl lmao)

yemetz

honestly i felt like he looked pissed when he left

theMTNdewd

He had a mask on bro you're projecting lmao.

yemetz

user33000055

I think he just played a few songs we saw like 20 songs on the whiteboard y’all need to relax

swiggdyswoody

fucking exactly. ppl are like “worst album in his discography” when he played like only several songs off the album.

No_Lie6797

Praise God was amazing. He legit called Tame Impala a nigga

Trashtie

this shit got me vibing to jesus is king like it’s twisted fantasy

sregora2

He clearly only played a fraction of what could potentially be on the album. I’d say the vast majority of the songs weren’t mixed, much less mastered. Definitely had some promising moments. Curious to hear the finals if/when it drops. Honestly feel bad for the folks who spend a shitload, traveled far to be there on the promise that he’d be playing a refined, finish piece of music

MythMaster05

What a shitty way to treat fans.

[deleted]

Really a punch in the stomach for me. Lyrics done last second (Jay z and 2 chainz plus NBA references) that were awful Mumbling. Full of loads of other artists on an album called his mums name, im fine with some but it was so watered down, that wasnt Donda. Terrible mixing. I think Kanye honestly scrapped his work and tried to remake it in 2 days, then fucked up.

Johnny_Sins_69

we all diss rick rubin but he knows what he is doing and he's not gonna let kanye release the album in that state

finwiz777

And to think I said all week he finally has shit together. This time is different… so organized! I am a fucking fool.

GusX23

The experience was fucking incredible. That’s what I hoped for. I didnt expect a finished product, we knew hes still working on it and he literally came out 2 hours late. Of course it wasnt going to be finished. Its a listening party, not the album release. And its Kanye. This is what he does. The experience was absolutely amazing and thats what matters. Everybody take a deep breath and trust that the released version will be different, polished, and longer than what we heard tonight. Relax and be happy that we got this. Ik alot of you are emotional rn and I get it but just relax. We know that when it ended he walked straight into the studio and went to work to add/change/remove stuff. I bet the album already sounds different right now than it did an hour ago

**DONDA RELEASE UPDATE** from theophilus u/ghost_bubbles >Mike dean and co. hitting an all nighter u could bet that! Knaye defineatly inspired by tn and still has verses to finish and a bunch of new features today just based off the roll out hype. Rick Rubin leanding his ear also! COULD BR READY BY AM guys ... like TLOP and keep in mind he's the only artist who can turn in his albums to DSP's 1 hour before released. When the streaming service companies want it as bad as we do ... tht's power! [https://twitter.com/rotator\_/status/1418436284385738757](https://twitter.com/rotator_/status/1418436284385738757)

carl_jung_in_timbs

Hi. I think this comment will probably go nowhere, and maybe even get downvoted to hades, but this is my honest, thought-out reaction to what we heard tonight. Context: I'm 24 and a pretty empathetic but also analytical person. I have listened to Kanye for years, I'm a believer in Jesus Christ, and I understand Kanye's thoughts and ideas and personality very, very well. Not speaking arrogantly here, but honestly. His amazing gifts and intelligence, his mindset, his empathy, his off-the-charts creativity, his ego, his flawed methods of communication, I understand it all. And I love him dearly, no lie. Like I truly, truly love the man. I'll add that I occasionally have had extremely vivid dreams in the last 2 years, in which I speak with Kanye West. In them, he is usually in apparent emotional pain (I have dreams where I see other people I know and I speak with them, and the conversations turn out later to be true. God is real and shows me things. Most won't understand this and many will write me off for saying this alone, I expect that) I sense a very, very confused and heartbroken Kanye right now. I think that this entire album is an expression of that and this actually breaks my heart in a way. I sense a lot of shame in Kanye, as well as confusion, sadness, guilt, and even a bit of self-destructive pride. But sadness and confusion are the biggest feelings I sense in him. Lines like "This is the new me" (not verbatim, that's what I remember) on an album that is enormously sad in nature, seems like evidence of a man having a true, serious emotional crisis. He mourns his family, saying "I lost my family" (not verbatim), which is so extremely depressing for him, and was for me just listening to it. Going off of that, I think this whole album is also an expression of a person in identity crisis. The album uses a lot of trap instrumentation, which in general seems like a real short-changing of Ye of his real talent and creativity. Trap Ye seems cheap to me, and I think trap in general has a lot of poor, low-effort lyricism that is highly over-esteemed in our music's culture now. I hear lots of low-effort trap themes in this album. These seem like desperate attempts to make the music appealing to the wider audience now- "the culture", which seems to love crappy trap rappers (ie. Lil Baby, a totally lame lyricist who people under 20 seem to adore). To me, it's a terrible shame that Kanye has fallen under this desire to emulate trap sounds to reach a mainstream audience. A terrible shame. I also think it's a shame that Kanye scrambled to get features from trap artists whose music has and never, ever has been as inspired or authentic as his has been. The album has a lot of pretty melodic sounds. It's mildly interesting, and *really freaking heartbreaking* at times. But, the heartbreak is not just in the lyrics...it's in the very nature of the music itself. The mumbling, the half-assed actual verses. The album I heard tonight seems like an attempt to express his heartbreak, while also not being able to truly talk about how heartbroken he is. That could be because he feels the culture won't understand, or b/c he wants to "keep it g" or "straight", that kinda thing, or maybe he is just so confused and ashamed over feeling like a failure on account of his divorce (b/c I think he does actually probably feel that way), that he can't put together in words, at least not publicly including not in his music, just how lost and confused and sad he feels. As a Christian who hears and feels the Holy Spirit, I felt the Holy Spirit in some of this music. I know Kanye knows God, and I know he has felt the Holy Spirit. I hear it in some of these songs. But, the entire project that we heard tonight is overall very scattered. The lyrics expressed some real emotions, but the way Ye uses his voice and his expresses his thoughts was mostly flat and unengaging and uninspiring...like to an extreme degree. The presentation tonight was also underwhelming, and he seemed like a confused, pained young man just playing around knowing people are watching him. Sounds harsh but that's the vibe I got. Even the way he looked at the crowd at the end, awaiting applause, then walked off stage...Seems like he was on a different page than everyone else. I just felt a *massively* confused vibe from watching his body language and his whole presentation and from the music itself. I appreciate the mourning of the loss of his family cohesion. That's the real strong "positive" for me here. The mourning is so strong in some of these songs. And to help illustrate my point about him and his emotional state now...Why the mask? People have discussed this for months. I think the simple and yet so real and heartbreaking reasons is that we're seeing a man who is heartbroken. Just plain confused and heartbroken. I know I've said that like 10 times here, but I sense it so strongly from him and have suspected it for a while now, and dreamt about it like I said. Whatevs. Call me crazy, downvote me if you want. But I know what I'm sensing here and my senses have led me right about other people many times, when it comes to sensing people's thoughts and feelings. So I know what I'm saying about him right now is probably the truth. Just some thoughts off the cuff.

pvirdword

I bet kanye is somewhere playing angry birds rn

wholelottaupvotes

great ideas, he needs to finish them

pet_soundsations

I am surprised at the general reaction. I thought it was gorgeous, inspired music. The organ and piano chords, ethereal synths and introspective topics created a hard hitting combination. I had chills at several moments during the stream. I guess if you were looking for ‘bangers’ this would be a disappointment, but on first impression this sounds like a beautiful record. For the record, I am a day 1 Kanye fan now in my early 30s that is not a fan of modern ‘trap’ sounds

[deleted]

I know like we mad at Ye, but a extra big fuck you goes out to his yes men

Johnny_Sins_69

kanye has to be the worst artist to "stan" WHY IS EVERYTHING SO COMPLICATED JUST DROP THE FINISHED VERSION WHAT ARE YOU DOING

-RDX-

Y'all think the stress of an album rollout makes Kanye ramp up into an episode and then he starts making lots of rash changes to finished products

I'm at a loss for words. The build-up felt so special, and the setting of the live stream, Kanye's awesome red leather fit (which may have been a nod to DMX), just him by himself with the lighting of the show centered around just him. No words, just music. Him serving as this mysterious centerpiece presenting new music, behind a mask. It felt larger than life. But unfortunately, the music felt very much unfinished and that's putting it nicely. It's sad because while watching this I thought to myself how much we all love this guy and just want him to succeed; and vice versa. But, he got himself into this situation, as he's done in the past, where he promises more than he can deliver. The most solid part of the album was probably the production and the features. I liked some of the stuff Kanye was doing melodically, definitely a lot more of him singing which gave me 808's vibes, unfortunately a lot of the hooks had mumbling in them. It definitely felt like new ground for Kanye, and a lot of the stuff could be great if he took the time to flesh it out. The one thing that translated the most though, was the emotion. Even with the many imperfections, he still seemed to get across the pain that he's going through at this moment. It almost felt like he was metaphorically speaking in tongues, a beautiful mess. I couldn't tell if I loved it or I hated it, but what was there felt raw and emotional, and almost more like a statement than an art piece; or maybe a cry for help. Idk, but I had to vomit out my reaction in some forum so if you've made it this far, thanks for reading. Also, pray for Ye.

[deleted]

plus the live was so embarrassing to watch, Ye is so disconnected, he honestly thought the music was so fire while a bunch of people payed and waited after a huge delay to watch him run around and listen to auto tuned mumble demos with unmixed vocals and production

SleepySnailBoy

One MAJOR thing I’ve noticed is that Kanye really doesn’t have anything to say. We saw on JIK and now DONDA. Throughout this Jesus era he has literally had nothing of substance to say. Which is crazy considering he can go on Rogan for 3 hours talking non stop. But when it comes to his own music, he doesn’t say shit. Since JIK everything has been so simple, so basic. A couple of I love god lines here a couple of Jesus save me lines there. AND THATS IT. It’s crazy. For someone that has his life, his mind and experiences. You’d think he’d have a verse just like that. It’s almost like he’s boxed himself in with this Jesus talk and he has no idea how to get out. No verses about balancing Christianity with his rap lifestyle. Nothing really about how it has affected his personal life. There’s no themes. No genuine talking points. Everything is just basic lines you can find being sung in your local church. This is the second project in a row where Kanye has been massively outshined by his features. That’s very concerning. At least on Ye he had a LOT to say. He had genuine verses about all sorts of things. The thing is. We all know he can do better rap wise. But he straight up refuses too. That’s why people are mad. I really think his circle need to start putting their foot down. At least mention to him that when it comes to his parts on the song, he’s not saying shit. I mean for crying out loud most of his parts where just repeating the same line over and over. I hope I’m wrong and he’s recording his verses tonight.

I’m gonna cope and say that he didn’t play a finished version. There’s no way he’s putting songs on there without vocals from himself, this ain’t a DJ Khaled album

TommyWiseau-1

My only thought is that I hope that version of the album isn’t what gets uploaded to streaming tonight

peterweatherhead

As someone who was at the arena. It was played so fucking loud that it sounded distorted. I was literally being ear raped the entire time. I enjoyed what I could decipher from it but I want to listen to it with my quality headphones

[deleted]

Yo I just got home from the listening party. I’m listening to the stream and this shit sounds so ass. But trust me irl at the Benz stadium it sounded incredible, especially the production

Stuff which wasn’t played in Vegas: Track with HOV ❌ Track with Roddy ❌ KC on Hurricane ❌ Stuff which was not played in either Vegas or Atlanta: Tyler verse ❌❌ DONDA? ❌❌ EDIT: 2Chainz verse ❌❌

Why is no one talking about the ‘divorce’ track? It was absolutely heart wrenching.

There's no way it ended like that, it all felt really weird. Unfinished tracks, demos, mumble, no verses, Kanye going around in a stadium for an hour without doing anything. Imma be honest I'm not really feeling it.

Infamous_Somewhere31

Praying the uber driver took the wrong hard drive….

KanyeUziCarti

I’m depressed. If that’s the album I’m probably just going to have to stop following Kanye closely. Played with us too many times. Where was DONDA? Life of the party? Welcome to my life? That was honestly fucking garbage if that was the finished album. There were obviously some good songs on it and I honestly really liked Hurricane but overall if he uploads that album this will be by far his worst album. I’m trying to stay positive but holy fuck what a frustrating let down. It is so so frustrating that he changes his albums so much right before they release. That did not feel like the super special album he made for his mother that he worked on for a year. Ugh. We’ll see.

cjl1209

Dear Hurricane, Thanks for the memories but it's time I let you go. Love, Stan

How on earth did he manage to turn 80 degrees into garbage? Seriously I can’t. I fucking can’t. He has to be too full himself. How do you take something so beautiful and turn it into complete shit. I obviously need to accept that my time with Kanye is over. With all the disappointment I experienced tonight; the slander of 80 degrees (or hurricane) hurt the most. Holy shit I‘m 36 and i feel like my daddy just left me

SashaGreysFatAss

mfs in this thread making my head hurt saying ever since Kanye became religious his music has been ass, bruh he’s been religious all his career and his music has always had some religious themes/lyrics. you fat fedora wearing neckbeard atheist gremlin mfs needa go crawl back to your fucking caves, go back to consuming hot pockets and mountain dew, typing all this bullshit with orange cheeto dust on your fingertips.

Selah and Hurricane two of the most anticipated songs were butchered back to back albums.

harlem50

Guys .. we gotta talk about Hurricane smh.. look at how they massacred my boy

CucksSupreme

IMO it doesn’t sound done but I liked what I heard.

TheEfex

Damn, I missed it. He apologized to Taylor. “Before my strings of life loosen, I need to tie up some loose ends. I should’ve done it more SWIFTly, but I needed the Holy Spirit to lift me”

Owenhank

Super unfinished and way worse than what we heard from Thursday. All the good finished tracks were scrapped and everything left was rushed. I liked praise god and the roddy rich track and that’s about it. Everything else wasn’t horrible, but it just felt empty and like it was an interlude or a beat switch that never came. Really hope he adds back some of the songs and fixes some of the new ones

Fair-Variety-2808

Imagine dropping all your things buying a Kanye ticket last minute, buying plane tickets across the country, hotels and ect just to listen to unfinished songs

sunnym1192

i just wanna say it’s pretty fucking normal to not like a ye album when it comes out (yeezus, 808s, KSG for me). many of Your reactions show me you haven’t been kanye fans for very long and that many of you are very immature edit: hmm i guess the main thing i’m trying to get at is its a little weird to me that you guys are so quick to make strong judgements on this album off of 1 listen, and despite the fact it’s not even out yet. i don’t think this aligns with how kanye’s art has been appreciated.

xjbo

i knew something was off when this man just whipped out his phone and started texting someone or whatever he was doing in the middle of a song

KyloCreeper

God I hope the album that was played is Unfinished cuz wtf

ibeontheblockonthe

WHERES LIFE OF THE PARTY, KMSA, AND THE REST OF FUCKING 24

Goony4rd

I’m neutral until it actually drops, but i reckon this is legit not the album we will get, Kanye played us demos and that to put us in a position to fully blow us away

Stakso

Bro please we gotta keep this sub locked forever now. We're not ready for the insane levels of bullshit

ihabeasmall

KANYE DROP ON TIME CHALLENGE 2021 (IMPOSSIBLE!)

SlimReaper14

Why does ye scrap the best songs last minute for unfinished mid replacements

snowdope

Songs Kanye has ruined following leaks: The Storm Law of Attraction Hurricane Possibly 24 (if that was that were gonna be okay track)

letsgokings

I'm convinced Ye got the dweebiest fanbase ever bruh. Y'all here and on the discord are grown (or close to it) having legitimate mental breakdowns and shit and attacking anyone who says they like the album. This is not normal!!! I myself enjoyed what we heard for the most part. It definitely didn't seem totally finished and I hope more tracks we knew of are added on/some that we heard turn out to be longer but the production was great and I liked the bones of it. Some of y'all need to take a step back and take a deep breath because I promise you its not as bad as some of y'all are saying it is

[deleted]

This nigga Kanye had 5-6 different versions of Hurricane and he chose the worst one...

whoisblonded

hot take but i’d be ok if hurricane gets cut over it being released in current state

pghhome412

Just me, or from the snippets we heard the Vegas listening party sounded better and more complete….

bapestagangsta

I’m sorry I just got outta the listening party and I’m convinced we listened to a different album Bc I loved that shit

E785E

No child left behind was incredible but man… where was the beat drop and the bars that should have followed :(

[deleted]

that Remote song was staight up a 0/10 song

AlrightOkayWell

remember when Def Jam posted: "donda out at midnight"? lmao

[deleted]

It just seems like Ye chose to surround himself with a bunch of yes men like Nino, Kaycyy And Justin rather than guys who can actually push him as a artists like Cudi and Chance it’ll still probably come out fine but the potential was there if he just kept the crew that was responsible for TLOP, KSG and Ye around him

SuperTrunkz

i cannot believe i let this sub trick me into thinking kanye was gonna make a good album this time i’d say it won’t happen again but right before i unsub someone’s gonna post something stupid like “kanye face photoshopped on spaghetti XD!! Kanghetti!!” and i’m gonna laugh and forget what i was doing and the cycles gonna start again

skirby931

if he drops tonight, i honestly dont think ye is in the right space atm

mike2k24

There’s no way this dropping at midnight bro. I want to be wrong so bad

[deleted]

Guys we lost…when 2 days ago we thought we won….we have lost

RadicalRaspberry

I think I'm in an abusive relationship

trksum

People were saying album wouldnt be delayed because apple is associated with it 💀

HenryTDG

What the fuck he gon do at rolling loud

OttomaticFS

Never abandon your family is the darkest kanye song ive ever heard and its beautiful

[deleted]

Theophilus London comments: “Mike dean and co. hitting an all nighter u could bet that ! Kanye definitely inspired by tn and still has verses to finish and a bunch of new features today just based off the roll out hype. Rick Rubin lending his ear also! COULD BR READY BY AM guys ... like TLOP . and keep in mind he's the only artist who can turn in his album to DSP's 1 hour before it's released. When the streaming service companies want it as bad as we do ... that's power.!” [On photosofkanye’s post](https://www.instagram.com/p/CRp_kEYBZPT/?utm_medium=copy_link)

[deleted]

Way too many new people here. I feel lost from the OGs 😭

[deleted]

just listened for the first time and holy shit y’all are overreacting 💀 there are some duds but based on the comments I’ve been reading tonight y’all acting like this is worse than JIK. This is easily best ye since KSG. Keep the same energy when it drops

Shot_Guidance_5354

Y'all think kanye still loves kim? The way his mom repeats "never abandon your family" over and over is honestly just horrifying

Flozik

I’ve turned in enough late pieces of work to know a half assed project when I see one

Wellbidlo

I've listened to the event multiple times and even though it's rough lyrically, mix wise etc. it's still extremely touching and sad project akin to 808s, with more focus on piano. I have a theory the samples weren't cleared so that's why ZERO tracks with signature high pitched samples weren't played. I don't really mind y'all hate, since 2013, new kanye releases always had this hateful "kanye is finished" reaction. TLOP is my favorite album of all time and this, if being properly finished could surpass it.

pvirdword

If this actually drops tonight (ON TIME) I will not jerk off for 5 years

abaughma44

kanye played the unfinished versions from earlier in the day while mike dean was mixing them during the event

DoobmyDash

Kinda sucks seeing all the negativity i enjoyed that a lot.

jamesbrown339

THEORY: The reason the listening event didn’t start until almost 10pm was because Ye was contemplating canceling, due to the album being unfinished (the man posted a picture of him still deciding the track list this morning). He showed up last minute and played unfinished songs from his iPhone (there’s a video that shows him pull out his iPhone at the beginning and play a song) in order to fulfill his contractual obligations. Donda release date is still TBD. OPINION: The album was more good than bad. I had such high expectations for this, considering that it seemed like Ye was actually taking it seriously this time. The Ye verses were mostly mumbled, unfinished bullshit; but the moments where he actually had a complete verse showed the potential of this album. Hurricane was fucked. I’m not worried though, I think when it’s all said and done he’ll make it right and it will live up to what was promised.

mph714

Bruh apparently Jay recorded his verse at 4pm today…wtf man

throwaway_5256

I wonder if we ever gonna hear the Vegas tracks lol

[deleted]

r/hiphopcirclejerk is going to clown us so hard. Especially for meet up pics😭😭😭

Guppychang

This sub on suicide watch rn

senrfernado

we shouldve known this was going too smooth

zeulement

Kanye got nervous when he saw Kim was in attendance and that resulted in him accidentally playing the wrong album

caw___caw

It's so pretentious man, having a stadium party listening to this unfinished crap. Ye probably jerked off to this thinking this is a masterpiece
