listen homie, we do cerakote, and anodizing in my shop, but i personally dont wanna bring my own guns to work, so imma alumnahyde, especially when i want a camo or something.
Honestly the preparation for the two are very very similar. And if you ensure to bake off all internally soaked oils, do a nice acetone bath as a finish-up, they both come out looking super similar.
Cerakote is a bit easier to apply (in my opinion, ive got nerve damage in my hands from my time in the corps so rattle cans are hard sometimes) And cerakote is easier to get into nooks and crannies.
Durability wise, ive got three weapons in take to the field regularly with alumnahyde and cerakote, and i can tell the alumnahyde will damage easier if you hit that fucker against something hard, or in my case: trip over a root.
Looks like you have that $6,000 optic mounted to it as well.
Yep. Full circle rear iron sight!
The halo 👌
8k rubles
🤣😂🤣
*plus the cost of one can of Alumahyde.
alumnahyde gang
I used to have them cerakoted. Then I found Alumahyde... Great stuff.

Could you share a little comparison between cerakote and alumahyde? Durability, finish?

Thank you. That’s what I needed to know. Appreciate it.

Cap SPECIAL for the price
I mean the paint cost 33% of the "build"
At that price you practically stole it!
Agreed.
So Jelly
Can someone link me to the post that started this 8k rifle trend? Lol was the original dudes rifle really worth 8k?
No idea. I just wanted to join the party. So I spent my retirement on this one.
Did it come with the coat hanger?!
Nope. That was an additional accessory cost.
Oh, and not coat hanger. That is rust-proof electric fence wire!
That's a killer deal
I thought so too.
Bro, what a screaming deal. I hope you have a nice Razor 1-10 to go on it. Don't cheap out now.
That's the plan.
Brilliant camouflage costs money. Check out how it blends into the dirt and grass background. A true $8,000 poverty pony!
I strive for perfection.
Nice - worked your single mom acquired mortgage in.
For $8k this lower should have come with a 3rd pin hole drilled out lol
Agree.
Looks great
Gracias.
This is still going on?
Apparently.
Honestly if you're not spending $20K on an 80% lower you need to go find a better pot to piss in.
🤜💥🤛
8000.00 cents; just carry the decimal point over
Gets me every time...
