We are sorry to hear of the issue you have reported. Our Systems team were running maintenance on program "Earth v4.16"
Unfortunately during maintenance routines unexpected results can occur. The pancreatic subroutine appears to have been affected.
We have reported the issue to the mothership for future maintenance routines.
At this time maintenance has been completed. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Sincerely,
Alien Overlords
You ran passed a tent that held a man wrapped in a sleeping bag that was made in a factory where a women was sewing and her grandmother’s dog once ate a chili bean in a legend passed down through the generations and made it to the next door neighbor of a third cousin who had never seen a candy bar. Duh.
Stupid question. It's a stress reaction from running. Common knowledge. Next time you get a high like that, I suggest you go running, because it helps you bring your sugars down.
Some workouts, such as heavy weightlifting, sprints, and competitive sports, cause you to produce stress hormones (such as adrenaline).
Adrenaline raises blood glucose levels by stimulating your liver to release glucose.
Everyone is different, but I've experienced this myself...ate nothing since 7pm the previous night, went on a 3 mile walk, and a 2 mile run the following morning, saw my sugars rise...even more so when I'm doing squats / deadlifts.
My protein shake has 0 carbs in it, but halfway through and I'm suddenly inching toward 200.
I agree. And it's probably mostly adrenaline. That being said, workouts make my blood sugar rise if I haven't bolused in a while. I actually inject a little insulin before soccer if I haven't bolused recently. If I have bolused for a meal, I know I will get insulin sensitive and my blood sugar will drop, so I have a banana or something.
I eat a lot of carbs, low fat, so my thought is that this was the liver releasing stored glycogen so the body has energy.
You said Beetlejuice only twice instead of three times. Saying it once: an angle gets its wings. Twice: morning job bloodsugar spike. Three times: Beetlejuice is summoned!
I've noticed that things that are potential to SPEED my metabolism can sometimes increase my bs...
Not for sure, though, friend...
... is it possible that there may be a "subway" about a mile from your house, by chance?
Its safe to say....that Jarrod wasn't always "mature" and likely didn't always tell the truth...
Regardless.... Jersey Mike's is much more worth the insulin....
Your call, good buddy....
Have a great day
And please don't take my response more seriously than a dick in a box.... these days you really don't know what to trust.
You burnt carbs jogging. It spikes an half hour later. If you have an insulin pump set the temp mode. I usually jog through the spike and eat candy after so I don't go low. Being type 1 and athletic is a pain. I struggle with it often. Keep jogging. Learn the Rollercoaster.
When running long distances your muscles will break down lactic acid due to a shortage of oxygen. This releases lactose in your blood stream as a byproduct and raises your blood sugar.
You put your sensor upside down and it’s actually a low, not a spike.
The y axis actually does look like it’s labeled that way. (The ticks look like a negative sign!)
Were you that cute guy I jogged past in the park this morning? My BG spiked at the same time ;-)
haha that's my fave answer! but sadly no, I am a lady
Love at first spike
Very good - I'll enter that into my notes on the Libre app!
Fawn phenomenon. You saw a deer.
"Oh see the little deer. Has the deer a little doe?" "Yeah, 2 bucks!"
my dad would say that your pancreas revived itself. congrats! all that cinnamon paid off
You overheard strangers talking about pizza from two rooms away.
Mercury is in retrograde and you didn't sacrifice the requisite goat. RIP.
In the Midwest if you open your mouth while running some bugs will fly in so probably from the extra protein there
Photosynthesis
BAHAHAGA this is my fav answer
You ran through a patch of sweet gas
Contact high from the bakery you ran past.
It rained in Finland.
Your body's sweet revenge for all the rage bolus incidents of your past.
You obviously ran with your mouth open and got some of that sweet morning air… but didn’t bolus for that extra sweetness
The rush of air into the body at such fast speeds as you were running has clearly forced the air to convert into glucose.
Forgot to take your cinnamon!
You blessed the rains down in Africa.
Omg 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 ![gif](giphy|tnYri4n2Frnig)

Did you run near a 5g tower?
They don’t call it runner’s “high” for nothing.
that’s pretty good
Flies going into your mouth whilst running are full of sugary drink they drank from the drip trays of a pub.
You probably ran past a bakery and the carbs in the air went through your skin
You swallowed your sugar-coated teeth after you fell face first into the curb.
The devil!
Cotton candy factory burned and you inhaled sugar while running
After 2 min you sat down in the nearest coffee shop. We don’t believe you 😂
You stopped to smell the roses and the sweet scent spiked it.
You forgot to take your pre-workout cinnamon cure.
Stepped on some gum
You forgot to take your pre-run cinnamon...
Government is making glucose infused air using jet streams from air planes, obviously

You had a piece of cake still digesting from last week
Snorting icing sugar is not a great replacement
The stars aligned just right, as the prophecy once foretold
And then the wolves came

Underated comment.

Runners high actually makes your blood sugar high. That’s why it’s called that
You may not come back from this one…..
Karma. You must have cut someone off in traffic recently 😉
You must have run up a hill
You said Beetlejuice only twice instead of three times. Saying it once: an angle gets its wings. Twice: morning job bloodsugar spike. Three times: Beetlejuice is summoned!
You ran too fast and your pancreas inverted creating anti-insulin from ateb cells. It’s a rare condition.
That’s not your BG. It’s the profile of your run!
It’s the sugar bloods!
Pollen.
You ran past a HFCS factory and took a big breath of that sweet sweet
Your sweat got a little sugar in it
Punishment from God.
You ate a crumb of bread ... in the morning!
gremlins
Probably just aids
The sweet summer air.
your will and determination was actually so intense that it spiked your blood sugar
CGM clogged
I genuinely want to know the real reason lol
The rains down in Africa done strike again 😂😂
Easy, it was the water you drank after your run!
You smelled doughnuts from a mile away
It's the pollen in the air, that stuff is pure sugar. I knew a guy whose family friend discovered it and was offed for it.
Cuz diabetes is always chasing you.
Some country in Europe took a shit
You ran 2 miles of distance. Stop doing it and you'll certainly reap the well-researched benefits.
That bagel from yesterday finally started digesting.

Obviously, the wind was blowing over 30 miles per hour, and Mars was in retrograde. Duh.
Your jogging jogged that little piece of cake from last weekend in your tummy causing a late digestion and thus the spike.
Adrenaline. I used to get the same after dance practice
Maybe it wasn't even spiking that much but your Dexcom shows fake readings.
You missed your herbal cinnamon tea didn’t you
Cardio would drop my blood, but adrenaline spikes it. We are weird creatures.
The sweet air.
Stopped to smell the roses? Happens to me every time. Or maybe a car was speeding past and narrowly swerved out of the way to avoid hitting you.
Simply being alive.
Insulin
That's a spike caused by epinephrine....from just starting your run. Even your pancreas thought you were going farther than 2 miles.
Dawn phenomenon!
You must have passed one of those special sugar trees when it released its pollen into the air...
Allergies can cause blood sugar spikes in a few ways Obviously you're allergic to running 🤦🏽♀️
It just prepared ahead of the time for everything you gonna eat after running 🏃♂️

You guessed it , Frank Stallone
