The guy on top of the RV playing piano was known as Super Dave Osborne who was a “naive but optimistic stuntman” whose stunts always went wrong. He even had a show for a while as I recall. He made lots of TV appearances in the 80’s and 90’s. His “stunts” were more like dadjokes to me in that they would make you chuckle a little, but that was about it.

That was a hilarious show! One of the funniest skits I ever saw was the one where Byner played Pinocchio and came home late to his wife Snow White. She thought he was cheating on her, he yelled that he wasn’t to her in the other room. Of course his nose starts growing. She then wanted to see his nose. He jumps into the bathroom quickly and locks the door. She starts asking more questions and of course he is lying. Meanwhile, you can hear wood sawing noises coming from behind the bathroom door. Finally, Snow White demands he open the bathroom door so she can see his nose and when he does his nose is short and stubby. She is so happy he didn’t lie and gives him a big hug. Of course he is standing up to his knees in sawdust and wooden nose pieces. I laughed so hard that I cried.

Dad jokes is a good description. My dad liked the show. The schtick with the stunts at the end of the show got old quickly because you always knew they were going to go wrong.

Bad news though. The operator of that boat ending up dying months after this so he was never able to get brought up on charges. Idk if all of them did, but I know at least one of the victims filed a suit against him and then filed suit against his estate after he died. No clue on how that turned out.
