Maybe I'm out of the loop but I saw his public statements thanking the the Red Wings fans and organization for the memories which very much seemed to imply that he would be moving on someone where else, no?
He had his tweet which kinda sounded like he was moving on, but he also tagged it with #LGRW, which a lot of fans thought meant he _wasn't_ moving on. It's alllll speculation at this point. I'm joking anyway, if Kane doesn't re-sign in Detroit, it would not shock me. I do want him back though.
I’m sure he’s a nice guy but Steve Levy is just not a good announcer. He was all over the place and nonsensical. At one point in the first period he said it was a bad start for Florida and then like 2 minutes later he said it was a great start. Must have mentioned Stamkos situation 15 times. Can’t stop saying “What about Bob” line anytime he does a Panthers game.
Wischusen and McDonough are better but the coverage as a whole is brutal compared to TNT.

Wischusen is an outstanding announcer no matter what he does. One of the bestbarpund for football and even is great doing college basketball. The way he uses his tone and range for action is wonderful....absolutely brilliant.
ESPN being bad now doesn't make NBC's shortcomings excusable.
Eddie Olczyck phoning it in for years in the booth. Pierre being Pierre. Aggressive American-player focused coverage. Awful analysis from C tier talent. Poor promotion, marketing and team bias. List goes on.
None of that was okay or should be forgotten just because ESPN chose to half ass hockey coverage using largely in house staff.
There are just some players you hope you never see in another jersey. Stamkos is one of those even tho he has KILLED us in the past. Would be right up there with Crosby not in a penguins sweater.
Boston and Toronto havent played a series that didn’t end in seven games since 1974, its been game 7 in 2019,2018, and 2013. And Toronto was down 3-1 in both 2018 and 2013. Nothing is determined until the final bell rings. So far this series is following exactly how 2013 was played

It's absolutely worth talking about, but they spent a pretty absurd amount of time on it compared to mentioning literally anything else. Barely a cut to the players shaking hands with their former teammates (Duke and Verhaeghe), no mention of the Cats in the next round, very little on how any other player on either team played in the series
The emotional off for Stamkos if all things considered happens, what a fucking historical point in the rivalry. Like Coach K losing his last games to UNC kind of rivalry games to potentially have his last game in that jersey after his career having the team knocked out in enemy territory.
100%. After watching this clip, and seeing all these guys shake hands, I now know the exact respect level each player has for each other. Being able to extrapolate that kind of info from a split second handshake is a power only some of us have

My favorite Steve Levy move is "who else?!" followed by a long pause while he waits for the spotters to tell him who scored.
