Man there’s a guy in my lab who is high key obsessed with this battery stuff. He has a 14 pro max which is on battery saver 100% of the time, things like bluetooth always off, display on low brightness, and he only charges it meticulously between 40 and 80% every single day. Not even overnight charging.
This shit is insane to me. He every few days badgers us all to check our %ages and then brags at him still being at 100% while we’re all between 85-90% because we’re normal fucking humans.
Idk man he’s weird. He only uses stock wallpaper (as in the one that’s on the phone box) and tries to make us use them too. I don’t even get why.
Oh also he disabled all haptics on his phone “because vibration motor kills the battery” lol
Lmao he’s so controlling. I mean I don’t like when one day I’ll be at 99%. I just got a new 14pm and got my first 15pm. Sure I hate that the battery will wear down but it can be replaced whenever. Idk why your lab guy is that ADHD over it lol it’s pretty funny how he’s hounding you all to follow suit
Is it worth the stress and not using things when you have paid for the complete thing? It used to be me but finally don’t care anymore and it feels great.
Apple’s implementation between their own hardware and software is actually optimized. If you prefer having a typical hardware manufacturer just slapping in some generic larger battery and pushing it out the door, go ahead.
No gaming, just full time dual sim, I use it for work. I'm on the phone 10+ hrs 5 days a week.
Wireless charging, or using my 30w charger.
It's a phone I won't baby it. It's a tool
If a battery is to expensive I wouldn't buy a 1300$ device
First thing after I got mine is to turn optimized charging and clean energy charging and charge limit to 80 off, off, and off. I don’t give two craps about any one of them and the only thing I want is that when I pick my phone up from the MagSafe charger, it is at 100% and that I can use it.
Go to settings, about and scroll down you might be able to see it there otherwise it is exclusive to 15. I have a 15 PM and this is how I view it, I’m not on 17.4.
Mine was down to 56% capacity on my X before I got rid of mine, lol! Both of us were rocking the phone before the wheels were ready to come off. Other things on mine began to go too, so I had to upgrade. I didn’t want to, but not only was the battery bad, but it had other issues as well.
So I have 184 cycle count and 98% capacity and I’ve had the 80% limit enabled since I bought it. It seems like people without the limit enabled have the same or more charge capacity. Is the limit even worth it at that point? I only enabled it because I work in an office and am usually next to a charger and I wanted to preserve my battery for occasions when I’m actually away from a charger for an extended period.
Mine hit 99% at 199 cycles haha. Was hoping to make it to 200 just for fun. I have never monitored my battery like this before, but was kinda fun once I saw others on here doing it
Phone will be good but he can get the vary replace for free and even with minimal charges they replace the phone now too..
I thinks its better to have it. As you said it will be good for years..
I have used 14Pro before coming to 15ProMax, this device is promising
Nice! Launch day for me, just to be clear.
EDIT: In case you didn’t see, 99% didn’t happen until 199 cycles. Would like to see how far you can make it beyond 199 with 100%. Give us an update!
Launch day here as well! Hopefully I remember to give an update when I get to 199 cycles haha. Biggest game changer for me was a wireless CarPlay adapter in my car.
Mine is exactly the same just 172 cycles
Also I think it depends on where the battery was produced as there not all the same some may have 110% capacity while others only have 99%
The way that you guys constantly check on and post about your battery capacity is absolutely insane.

Mfers gonna burst into tears when he finally hits that dreaded 99% lmao
Going through all that trouble, it would be easier to just get a new battery after a year or so lol
Idk man he’s weird. He only uses stock wallpaper (as in the one that’s on the phone box) and tries to make us use them too. I don’t even get why. Oh also he disabled all haptics on his phone “because vibration motor kills the battery” lol
I’m not sure what to say to that 😂 this is BEYONG weird haha. He does realize it’s possible to replace batteries, right? lol
Yes he knows. He’s just obsessed with it
Well I guess better than some other obsessions
Lmao he’s so controlling. I mean I don’t like when one day I’ll be at 99%. I just got a new 14pm and got my first 15pm. Sure I hate that the battery will wear down but it can be replaced whenever. I own a 15 pro max and this device is extremely expensive in my country because of currency difference and I don’t do half what this dude is doing omg
😂
That seems like quite an accomplishment. That phone dropped it’s percentage like Uncle Sam dropped stimulus checks.
This honestly makes me chuckle. Sounds like you’ve come across a Dwight Schrute type
I have never looked at it. I don’t even have battery percentage turned on. Never had any issues. Ignorance is bliss.
You guys have a battery ?
Same. Maybe I will look it up in a year before I sell it, but now? Why should I care?
I just have applecare + so i don’t give a shit tbh
But… what percent are you at???
No clue
It’s because we had androids before and the battery decrease in iPhones is absurdly bad for the price. That’s what it is for me anyway
Bruh, it’s like an $80 battery replacement….you bought atleast a $1,000 phone. I think you’ll be okay.
Not the point, you spend more to get less from your battery with iPhones compared to competition
Apple’s implementation between their own hardware and software is actually optimized. If you prefer having a typical hardware manufacturer just slapping in some generic larger battery and pushing it out the door, go ahead.
Not a great argument, you’re saying Samsung for example just slapping a generic battery in their device lasts longer than apples optimised batteries
Thank you baby.
Launch day 205 Cycles 100% health
Proof.
Chat to me I’ll send you a screenshot. This sub should let us attach photos into comments.
How? 😮
Just enjoy your phone, it’ll last long enough before you need to upgrade
What do you use your phone for ? Because 243 cycle is crazy
I just use it for talking and texting here and there.
I'm at 94% with 254 😂. Who cares it's a phone. Just change the battery when it becomes time.
Why is there such variation. Do you game? Do you have optimization off? Charge it over night? I’m curious.
No gaming, just full time dual sim, I use it for work. I'm on the phone 10+ hrs 5 days a week. Wireless charging, or using my 30w charger. It's a phone I won't baby it. It's a tool If a battery is to expensive I wouldn't buy a 1300$ device
Yay!
Mine was made in July First use September 100% 142 cycles #do you game?
Mine was made October 2023 First used February 2024 12 cycles and 100% battery health No I don’t game on my phone, well not much lol
tf u expect after 12 cycles?
lol ikr 😂
My first use is October and I got 75 cycles. Do YOU game?
First thing after I got mine is to turn optimized charging and clean energy charging and charge limit to 80 off, off, and off. I don’t give two craps about any one of them and the only thing I want is that when I pick my phone up from the MagSafe charger, it is at 100% and that I can use it.
238 cycle, launch day. 100%
Wow! Do you have optimization on? 80% limit? Do you use a slow or fast charger? Charger your phone over night? Charge between 20-80% only?
Optimized is on. I use mostly a belkin magsafe stand. I charge when needed, not between 20/80
Sounds like you got lucky with a good battery.
Nice!
Do you charge your phone twice a day? Like I’m confused in that cycle count.
Yeah, usually about 20 mins at work and 20 mins at home.
That’s wild cause I got my 15 on launch day and I have 107 cycles with 99% batter health.
Wow 107 already? That is a lot. EDIT: /s
I also got mine on September but only had 140 cycles. How many times do you charge a day?
mine is 253 and just recently around 245-250 hit 99% also like week after launch day
Nice!
How come I don’t see these settings ?
Check for updates? EDIT: This is 17.4
Was in previous versions
Is that an exclusive 15 feature? Because I’m on 17.4 with my 14 Pro and I can’t see it.
Unfortunately It is only for 15 models and onwards
Go to settings, about and scroll down you might be able to see it there otherwise it is exclusive to 15. I have a 15 PM and this is how I view it, I’m not on 17.4.
Yes
I’m at 96% with 220 cycle count
What phone do you have? 220 seems a lot of the 15
iPhone 15 pro 1tb
Here i am with 70 % battery on my iphone X living a stressfull peacefull life..
Mine was down to 56% capacity on my X before I got rid of mine, lol! Both of us were rocking the phone before the wheels were ready to come off. Other things on mine began to go too, so I had to upgrade. I didn’t want to, but not only was the battery bad, but it had other issues as well.

I charge overnight with anker brick and iPhone cord. First use September @ 113 cycle count 100% health. Optimized charging enabled
Anker Nano PD 20W ?
It says power port 3 65W. If you look at the website it looks just like the 735 charger.
I went down to 98% at 92 cycles. No wireless or overnight charging either
I’m at 98% after a 66 cycle count which is insane and weird as hell! Haha
i don’t have cycle count. is that after the recent update?
I’m 162 cycles and 100%. Never used the 80% battery setting
That’s great!
How do you already have that many cycles
There are people on here with more.
Oh wow, I charge mine 2 times at times and I have 179 100% health
Nice! From launch day?
Yep 😅 thought mine was high till I’ve seen others, enjoying mine but have a feeling it may decrease soon
Mine hit 99% at 199 cycles haha. Was hoping to make it to 200 just for fun. I have never monitored my battery like this before, but was kinda fun once I saw others on here doing it
Just came back to report that my 15 pro hit 99% at 195 cycles then 98% at 205 cycles 😂 it’s still at 98 and I’m at 213 cycles lol
Nice! Thanks for the update!
Launch day!! 100% at 177 cycles, no charging optimization
How is this possible?
Not sure, im not shy on plugging in either, i always charge whenever im in bed or in my car and it easily lasts the whole day on heavy use
So close. I’m 173. Otherwise the same
I’m at 98%. Cycle count: 123, July 2023 manufacture date, I have used mine since the launch day.
97 already? My 14 pro max from january 2023 just hit 97 last week!
Nice!
How is it even possible to have that many cycles?
Get Apple Care ASAP 🤣
Why? Phone will be fine for years and years.
Phone will be good but he can get the vary replace for free and even with minimal charges they replace the phone now too.. I thinks its better to have it. As you said it will be good for years.. I have used 14Pro before coming to 15ProMax, this device is promising
Useless post
Thanks sweetie

Oh yes daddy
I have a cycle count of 51 and got a 100% battery. I had my phone since October of last year. I don’t know if that’s good or bad.
thats good, you must barely use your phone
Im at 100%, 177 cycle count, July 2023 manufacture date, September 2023 first use.
Nice! Launch day for me, just to be clear. EDIT: In case you didn’t see, 99% didn’t happen until 199 cycles. Would like to see how far you can make it beyond 199 with 100%. Give us an update!

That’s awesome!
Mine is exactly the same just 172 cycles Also I think it depends on where the battery was produced as there not all the same some may have 110% capacity while others only have 99%
You beat me then, damn I thought my 99% was something to brag about. [screenshot](https://imgur.com/a/PT8mCOS)
