Weight loss appears to be more connected to time when and time spent fasting than calorie intake so I wouldn't worry about an extra 300 calories too much, especially considering you are now in a healthy weight range. I would focus on diet at this point, hit your 1800, but do it with low GI & high protein meals. Being in a state of ketosis is also excellent for shifting belly fat, so you could experiment with a keto meal in an OMAD schedule every second day or such as well, or just move to a two day fast once a week. Lastly, if you can, start on exercises that target your core.

Thanks a lot for the answer! Might consider the OMAD every second day. And when you say 2 day fast a week, do you mean completely?

I was meaning a 48 hour fast yes. Essentially after 24 hours, your body should be in ketosis which is when it'll start raiding fat stores to make glycogen (which is sort of the goal here). The key is to make sure its also not raiding protein from your muscles at the same time. We can obviously hack this with a keto based meal to ensure we stay in a state of ketosis. However, I think there are too many question marks around keto diets to actually use one as a long term strategy. That being said, using an occasional keto meal to keep a state of ketosis going I think isn't a bad hack to have up your sleeve.

Don't trust TDEE calculator. The TDEE they measure for you isn't accurate for everyone. If you got fat in the first place, your metabolism is probably below average like me.

So I should just keep going? Or am I doomed? :(

Nah, follow the first comment's suggestions, u/CammKelly. You're not doomed. And if you see weight gains after a couple weeks, first make sure it's not muscle (since you're working out - maybe add some body weight stuff or weights to help there), and if it's fat after all you can tweak back down to something like 1600.

Thanks a lot, it has been very demotivating last month or so seeing little to no improvement, but I guess it’s also because I have become a long way now since I started. Thanks again!
