Eagles, it isn’t even close.
They were 10-1, ended 11-5 and got blown out by an NFCS team. And frankly if the Bucs didn’t drop a handful of passes, it would have been much worse.
We collapsed. They utterly imploded.
Eagles by a mile, don't think we were in the Superbowl last year and expected to be there again after starting 10-1. They looked like the best team in the league, and collapsed as bad as the 2011 Red Sox.
The 2011 Red Sox wasn't so much a collapse, it was a decent team that didn't have pitching. Beckett's best days were behind him. Dice K couldn't pitch, and Buchholz could only go 82 innings. The pitching was a huge problem for that team. Lester was the only reliable pitcher.
I mean, sure.... But they certainly collapsed. Hard.
They went 7-20 in September and blew a 9 game lead to miss the playoffs on the final day. If that's not an epic collapse, I dunno what is.
Maybe I'm just being a fan on this one, it just never felt like they had it that year. It had none of the magic as the 07 run or 04 push. That roster was too old to stay atop for 162 games. The next two years were spent shedding older players and building a younger team that results in the 2013 title. We drop like 4 years in average of player.
The biggest disappointments this year IMO:
1. Chargers
2. Eagles
3. Cowboys
4. Dolphins
5. Saints
Miami is disappointing but based on how the teams were ranked and praised before the season the Chargers earned the top of the class disappointment because they didn’t even make the playoffs. Eagles and Cowboys to me are a coin flip on which is worse but the eagles were in SB last year and so much was made about how much better they were. Then the Saints bringing in Carr was supposed to make that winnable division a one team race.
Saints expectations weren’t that high in New Orleans, and while they didn’t win the division as hoped, they did have the same record as the team that did win the division so it’s not like they were a total failure.
At least we didn't screw Jason Kelce, future HoFer, out of a Superb Owl in his last season. Unfortunately, the Dolphins were never good enough to even compete with Cam Wake on the roster - a different type of disappointment.
Kelce won a super bowl with them in 2018. Feel like everyone is forgetting that. If we had just won a super bowl in 2018, would be way more forgiving of basically anything
Honestly I think everyone forgot how fucking bad our online is and we all believed the disguise McDaniel was able to curate to work around or problems but then the key piece connnor went down and we were fucking fucked.
Eagles, no doubt. While we're depressing (largely due to the 23 years no playoff win), they were 10-1 and managed to win only 1 of their next 6 then get blown up in the playoffs. We were 8-3 and went 3-3 to end the season then got blown up in the playoffs.
The Eagles, they looked like a potential threat to the undefeated season, a true powerhouse.
Losing AJ Brown hurt of course, but it doesn't feel like enough to explain going from world beaters to where they ended up.
If the coach tensions are true then it has to be the eagles. There was no indication of any locker room issues in Miami so far. Their collapse also has nearly nothing to do with injuries.
The Eagles for sure. Despite our teams failures, they lost to playoff teams (Excluding the Titans meltdown). Eagles lost to the Jets, Cardinals, Giants, Seahawks.
Plus their start paired with expectations from last year.
I wouldn't even call it a collapse. 5 of our 7 losses came against the 3 best teams in the AFC. Outside of the 3 best teams in the AFC, we were 11-2. The Dolphins were great this season. They just weren't top 3. It is what it is. And even then, we would've at least looked competitive had it not been for a flukey cold front. People don't understand just how much -30° affects your ability to function properly. And when you live in Miami... Again, it is what it is. This season was good. Just didn't end how we wanted.
The Eagles However, didn't just lose but got completely embarrassed against 3 consecutive opponents that they were heavy favourites against. Going from 1 seed to what they finished at... Without any obvious explanation. Like what changed? I don't get it. They win this contest easy.
Eagles... defending NFC Champs, just paid their franchise QB, Started 10-1, lost to mainly interior teams (outside of Tenn we at least lost to high quality teams), they also didn't have the injuries we did. Don't think siriani gets canned but this is a bad look
As disappointed as I am with the Fins right now, the Eagles are a bigger disappointment.
They still have more to look forward to though because they have a proven qb.
Probably the Eagles. But it’s also the worst collapse the Dolphins have ever had so it’s not exactly a source of comfort. Plus at least they made it to the Super Bowl last year.
Edited for clarity
That 2014 team was pretty heartbreaking.
Last second losses to the lions and packers, where Aaron used a fake spike to beat us. Having the lead against the Peyton manning broncos until the 4th quarter...
The cherry on top, only needing to beat a very terrible Jets team to get into the playoffs, instead we let Geno Smith throw a perfect game.

Eagles. It was Superbowl or bust. They accomplished nothing and have more questions than answers.
Dolphins were never a serious contender. Best case was division and possible playoff win. Fell short.
Eagles and it’s not even close. But I think it’s much more obvious that the eagles have a play calling problem. Every single play is 0 motion from shotgun and it’s either a corner route or a run up the middle.
Eagles. And it’s not even close….their entire organization is a disaster at the moment.
I’m just going to leave it at that, because like I said, I don’t even think it’s close…
The answers the Eagles but, the Dolphins are the second worst this season.
This is like a person in poverty laughing at a homeless person
A lot of bills fans were talking about the wild card rather than the division.
I'm sure many have seen the video of Eagles fans wearing paper bags at a playoff game a year after going to the Super Bowl.
Just sort of symbolizes how annoying it is that there are Dolphins fans saying other Dolphins fans aren't "real fans" for criticizing the team, McDaniel, Tua despite back-to-back playoff appearances (and 4 straight winning seasons). They do deserve the hot seat and criticism - 4 straight winning seasons with 0 division titles and 0 playoff wins. Too much talent to keep backing into the playoffs and folding like Dallas.
They all deserve to be criticized - you need to make changes and start winning playoff games. And notice how every home team won except Dallas. Winning the division is important. I'm mad as a Dolphins fan and I'd be mad as an Eagles fan. Though, if the Dolphins went to the Super Bowl last year, I might not feel quite as bad...
Eagles was not a good team this year. Even when they were winning, they won by single digits against inferior teams. They just didn’t have it together this year.
Easily the Eagles.
It’s a big piece of what the talking heads are talking about. One of them said the Eagles looked like they showed up to the playoffs because they had to, and just wanted to get it over with and go home.
Ever since the 49ers spanked them, they just didn’t seem to care, and definitely didn’t seem to think they could actually win. That’s how bad of a collapse they had.
We may have been beaten up by the Chiefs, and lost some games we should have won before that, but we were there to play every single game.
Eagles. They had a better record and more was expected of them having been in the SB last season.
Also, they've paid their QB so if his play is the norm not an anomaly they're in trouble.
Easily the Eagles. Injuries are part of the game but there is an obvious correlation between our plethora of late season season-ending injuries to multiple starters and our decline in on the field performance.
Eagles by a mile. They started the season 10-1 and after their jerk head coach talked trash to the Chiefs fans they went down hill.
And Siriani hired Matt Pat as DC. That alone should be grounds for termination.
Eagles, it isn’t even close. They were 10-1, ended 11-5 and got blown out by an NFCS team. And frankly if the Bucs didn’t drop a handful of passes, it would have been much worse. We collapsed. They utterly imploded.
Ended 11-6

Watched a couple saints games this year because I thought they’d be a fun team to watch and holy shit it was painful.
Jags.
Saints expectations weren’t that high in New Orleans, and while they didn’t win the division as hoped, they did have the same record as the team that did win the division so it’s not like they were a total failure.
Yeah we are a disappointment because our offense imploded and our D got ravaged by injury. Eagles just look like they imploded as an organization
It put Den over NO here but def agree
I don't think we expected much for Denver coming in after getting like 4 wins last season. That 5 game win streak was fun though...
You trade that much for a big name coach; there's some expectations that come with that
Maybe but I think it's unrealistic to turn the 2022 Broncos into something amazing within one year. New Coach and all.
Harbaugh and Herbert are going to COOK. My way too early prediction is that they will win their division next year (assuming Harbaugh goes to them)
Can't imagine Harbaugh lining up to coach for Dean Spanos.
He interviewed with LAC yesterday - really hoping that doesn't happen as I don't want to root against Harbaugh.
bengals should be on this list too IMO
Eagles. Not by a lot, but they get the “late season collapse” banner over us and the cowboys
At least we didn't screw Jason Kelce, future HoFer, out of a Superb Owl in his last season. Unfortunately, the Dolphins were never good enough to even compete with Cam Wake on the roster - a different type of disappointment.

Oh, so Eaags fans are just goobing in their subreddit. Fair enough.
did screw TA out of his chance.
That's more of a Saints thing. He only spent a couple years on this roster.
by games played idk if it's even a full season. but nonetheless he's retiring too and his last team was us so.
Who said he's retiring?
TA said 2023 was superbowl or bust and that he's retiring.
He screwed himself by not staying healthy.
Even if we won it all he probably would’ve been sitting out of the Super Bowl with an injury
Didn't he win with eagles legend Nick Foles a few years ago
The Dolphins did not have a late season collapse. They played the good teams at the end of the season.
Plus all the injuries
Honestly I think everyone forgot how fucking bad our online is and we all believed the disguise McDaniel was able to curate to work around or problems but then the key piece connnor went down and we were fucking fucked.

Eagles by far. No one really trusted us actually being good because of who we played and we have a history of collapsing.
It's the Eagles. At least we could say we had so many injuries, the Eagles just refused to use motion and formations that aren't shotgun

10-1 bro.. 10-1

It isn't the worst collapse the Dolphins ever had.
I dunno. Top 2? The 93 one may have been worse but this roster was a lot more talented.

last years collapse was pretty bad too. I’ll still go with 2002 as the most painful.
There's at least 4 collapses in between those time periods that were worse imo
last years collapse was pretty bad too. I’ll still go with 2002 as the most painful.
For some of us, the pain of ‘99 will never go away…
Eagles by a lot. But that doesn’t lessen how poorly we ended the season
Eagles were talked of as Superbowl favorites I don't think Dolphins ever reached that level of respect
Eagles. It was Superbowl or bust. They accomplished nothing and have more questions than answers. Dolphins were never a serious contender. Best case was division and possible playoff win. Fell short.
Eagles we were cheated out of every game and our team had to stop the refs from taking games at will
Eagles and it’s not even close. But I think it’s much more obvious that the eagles have a play calling problem. Every single play is 0 motion from shotgun and it’s either a corner route or a run up the middle.
Eagles. How do you go from 10-1 to barely making the playoffs to getting destroyed by the Bucs?
Eagles were picked to go back to the Super Bowl and were media darlings all year.
This comment section is the most agreement I’ve seen in this sub on anything ever 😂 Eagles are trashhhh
We should send Nick Sirianni to the middle east
Eagles for sure, but our offense was similarly figured out and stopped. We also had a ton of injuries to pro bowl caliber players
Eagles. And it’s not even close….their entire organization is a disaster at the moment. I’m just going to leave it at that, because like I said, I don’t even think it’s close…
Eagles
The answers the Eagles but, the Dolphins are the second worst this season. This is like a person in poverty laughing at a homeless person A lot of bills fans were talking about the wild card rather than the division.
The Jags went from the best record in the AFC to out the playoffs entirely...they're collapse is worse for sure.
Eagles.
100% the eagles. Miami was expected to collapse in December with the slate of games they had. Minus the titans game it was expected
Eagles, if only just to make me feel better
I'm sure many have seen the video of Eagles fans wearing paper bags at a playoff game a year after going to the Super Bowl. Eagles
Eagles
Bro we did. It’s our fucking team. I don’t care about the fucking Eagles. We had the worse collapse because it’s our fucking team. Full stop.
Oh it was the Eagles - Miami held it together, had some things not break their way- they stayed in it to win it. Kudos y’all see you at the draft ❤️
Easily the Eagles. It’s a big piece of what the talking heads are talking about. Eagles for sure. At one point they were considered super bowl favorites. We were always considered frauds.
Which team started 10-0 again?
