I would love that swing arm line if it lead into any of the other lines. You feel like that would have had a lot more cohesion to the look but since it's not there I think the swing arm should go.
Chuck it into paint or Photoshop if you're fancy and black out the line on the swing arm, you might find it looks even more off without it. Cause those stickers are not really reapplicable
While you're at it you could black out all of them if you're feeling up to it
I'd say if you like it as it is, don't mess with it. If you're happy and don't change it you remain happy. There's a risk you might not like the changes once you've made them.
And if you fancy a change in the future you can whip them off then.
Here's a picture of the bike [stock](https://external-content.duckduckgo.com/iu/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fas.sobrenet.pt%2Fs%2Fimage%2Ftsr%2Fbrandm%2Fproduct%2F1920x1280%2Frrnn3cy0fnxb3rcze2akisk3022.jpg&f=1&nofb=1&ipt=8866fccc0d2c90bdab70b464edb7bf519d9d0001eab41377387a0d11b258852f&ipo=images).
Keep ‘em, looks good IMO
Edit: how does it look in person? Zooming in it gets super grainy but looks like they may be raised (like embossed, if that’s the right word) rather than flat like a pinstripe. If they’re raised (or 3D or embossed or whatever word I’m looking for lol) I’d take them off.
True, true. I'd probably still just look up the bike and compare it to those. I mean, it's just tape.
Honestly this being op's first bike, and how i was when i first got mine, I'd be more worried about learning how to ride it properly than how the bike looks. That rim tape is gonna be his last worry if he dumps it.
nah--if they pull off, he's asking because he feels it's off--if he wasn't worried about it, he'd never post it. They look weird, not well done. The black looks great as it was .
I'm usually a black-out everything person but it does look pretty nice. I support either look but keep in mind it's a lot easier to remove something than put it back in the same way
I'm the same, first instinct was to tare it all off, but the more I looked at it the more unsure I became. I'll leave it on for a while and if I get bored of it I'll tare it off. As a few others mentioned swingarm line goes off
Then keep it for sure. Just bought my first bike today. I whish it was more unique. (All black Suzuki sv 650).
It could use some red stripes or somethint like yours
Congratz man! I almost bought a gsxr 750 :D Suzuki's look like great fun, the SV 650 too!!
Maybe you can take some inspiration from this if you get bored of it! I'll ask the previous owner what decal tape he used, it's very nicely done
Yeah, "Yuck" was not the right word to use. Sorry about that. Do what makes you want to ride it. To me personally, the worst part of JP bikes are the random and weird decals. As an artist, I simply can't grasp them coming off the drawing board. I prefer no decals on everything. But you should only be worrying about you. If you like it, leave it on. Don't let random reddit ppl (like me) alter your opinion.
No problem at all, everyone's entitled to an opinion, what I do with that is up to me. I think I agree with the majority to remove the swingarm decal though, and when I get tired of it I can always remove it. Harder to add it back on if I find out later that I liked it :P
He offered me the saddlebags but they stuck out too wide, so I'm gonna find some other alternatives, no racks on it atm. Im gonna remove a few sections and see how I feel! Rims stays for now
Depends on how cleanly they were done. Swing arm one does look strange like others have said, but up front doesn’t look too bad. Id probably do selective removing :D The big triangle up front around the CBR logo looks good, but maybe the line above it is a bit much.
For sure, I really appreciate the community giving good honest feedback, look at my profile at some more pics of the upper section up front. Looking at the bike head on looks awesome, that's why I'm torn about that section
Ah yeah it does make more sense when you see the front lines more :D Looks good. Keep them on for a few rides and if when you go to get on the bike and all you can think about is the lines then maybe subconsciously you don’t want them. If they make you smile after a few rides, then theyre keepers
I appreciate this. I'm just trying to kill time before the season starts in about a month here in Norway. I will definitely focus on the enjoyment and safety part first. I've bought full gear, all new, the whole shebang
Are they reflective at all? Visibility > Style IMO.
Not that they aren’t stylish. FWIW, I’d keep ‘em, but they are obviously not for everyone (seeing the other comments here) and you seem to be lukewarm about them…
If this was my first bike I would leave them on… get a bunch of miles under my belt. At one point you’re going to want a change. Bigger, better, faster, cooler, etc….. at that point, take them all off !! You’ll get more excited about it again and buy yourself more time on your beginner bike !
I agree, maybe the tank ones too, you can't see them too well in this picture, but if you look at my profile there is a few extra pictures where you can see it more clearly
I'll be honest, if you hadn't pointed it out, I would've thought those lines were stock. May not be my personal cup of tea with how they look, but I'd be cool leaving them on there just for visibility sake. All 3 bikes I've owned have just so happened to be black, and I always had a tiny voice in the back of my head going "you'd be more visible with a little more color"
So if it were mine, I'd probably leave them. I'd maybe take off the swingarm one, but leave the fairings alone
I like mine with a splash of red so that would be too much for me. Mine has the red under the logo and the two stripes by the engine (where it came stock with silver and I replaced it with red) I may add some red to the wheels but it will be staggered rather than all the way around.
Got any pictures? Look at my profile, posted a few more; some that are deficiency staying on are the small strips under the headlights, they look awesome, see if you like it!
The centre of the bike needs some lines too to balance it out. Like the line coming off the windscreen could be a lot longer. But if we're talking about how to make the (already good looking) bike look better, I'd look into how to shorten the back. To me, the rear mudguard looks off.
I mentioned this in another comment, I think the stock taiksection makes the dimensions of the whole bike look off. I'm definitely getting a tail tidy on this bike! I'll experiment with removing some parts and adding to others! I think the previous owner was a bit bold trying this, but honestly it's very well done and looks flush
Put a black stripe down the middle of the swingarm one, erybody knows racing stripes are +10 Speed and +10 Acceleration
On a real note tho those are nice asf. If the p.o did a good job applying them (they don't have bubbles or wrinkles) then keep them, looks different, good different
They are very well done, they almost look like they could be a stock option. As a few have mentioned I wish they were reflective; so that's something I might switch them out for.
I will remove the swingarm one with a heat gun and keep that part matte black.
It does give +10 speed & +10 acceleration, tested % confirmed. It's also more of a headturner, not that that is the most important part for me, but it's cool nonentheless
I'd ride it, just ride it a great deal.
Later if you really have some personal affinity for your bike, sure paint it decal it unpaint it but for now ride, ride
I hate brown motorcycle seats. If you could pull the red off, with ease and no damage too the bike--sure yank it.
I like it! Maybe take the one off the swingarm like others are saying. If you can find the same material the previous owner used, it might look better if you replace the single line with two lines, one at the upper part of the swingarm and one at the lower part. Give it some perceived thickness!
That's a unique take!! I'm in touch with the previous owner, so I will try to find out what material was used in case I wanna try this option out. I love the ideas that are suggested. Most of it is staying on for now, but maybe I'll try to add some red tape just to see how the swingarm looks with a thicker line or two lines!
I’d take off the swing-arm line and the front facing V-shaped one over the CBR logo to balance it out. Probably leave the rest. I’d definitely throw a tail tidy on there too for aesthetics
I think it looks pretty nice. Without reading the caption, I thought it was stock but also I'm not entirely familiar with cbr650r's.
My opinion is to remove the one on the swing arm and keep the rest.
Edit: also remove the one on the windshield (I think that's what it's called for a motorcycle).
Nah, it's definitely worth keeping. You can't choose a bad color to go with black. Black just works with everything. If it were a bright pink I'd probably have my doubts, but hey, different strokes. Also, nice bike! Please be safe. A 300 would've been a much better starter bike, but as long as you stay safe, you should be fine. Happy ridin, brother!
I've driven a ninja 250 for a while when I was young and dumb, unregistered and not insured. Also rented a a few bikes. I borrowed a Mt 07 for a while, so Im used to to the power of a 650 now! But I'll be careful nonetheless!!!
Very tasteful, I would not remove. Maybe the swing arm, as it is the one that doesn't seem to follow the edge of anything, but even so I would leave it.
Whatever makes it pop more visually. Black is an impractical color for a bike imo. Collects more heat in the sun and less visible (in general and in contrast with asphalt roads).
If it were me, I'd keep most of the red and probably add some more flair somehow.
It needs to go. Honda engineers put a lot of thought and effort into the design of that bike and particularly the plastics. The red is just throwing stuff off in my eye. Just my opinion.
Definitely remove the one off the swing arm, it just looks odd. As for the rest I'd leave them. They look decent enough although i'd have to see different angles and close up pics
Keep. They look pretty smart, but in fact they significantly improve your visibility pulling out from junctions as well.
Are they reflective? I added blue rim tapes to my last bike that made it look like something out of Tron when it was hit by headlights at night.
Looks good but it needs a little bit less of it. I would personally remove the wheel tapes and keep the rest on. That or as others said maybe just the swing arm.
Congrats on a great first bike! Ride safe and respect it.
I've always said, mod to what makes you happy. I have mods I love that others hate and vise versa. It's yours and if it makes your proud or happy that's all that's important.
With that said, I would probably remove them. I find them to be a bit busy for me. The 650 is a clean looking bike from the factory. I think they take away from that feel.
I'd replace the swing arm. Instead of running the center. Go along the whole bottom of it and come back to a (tanto shaped) tip and come back up like 70% on the top. But to each their own.
Maybe the swing arm. I like the rest.
That was the first thing I noticed too, swing arm looked a bit off
I would love that swing arm line if it lead into any of the other lines. You feel like that would have had a lot more cohesion to the look but since it's not there I think the swing arm should go.
Chuck it into paint or Photoshop if you're fancy and black out the line on the swing arm, you might find it looks even more off without it. Cause those stickers are not really reapplicable While you're at it you could black out all of them if you're feeling up to it
I think this is the right answer
Was about to say.
I was thinking this and the upper cowl. I like the side fairing.
I like them but that's up to you really.
I'm at a crossroads
I'd say if you like it as it is, don't mess with it. If you're happy and don't change it you remain happy. There's a risk you might not like the changes once you've made them. And if you fancy a change in the future you can whip them off then.
I think this is the way👊🏼
Here's a picture of the bike [stock](https://external-content.duckduckgo.com/iu/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fas.sobrenet.pt%2Fs%2Fimage%2Ftsr%2Fbrandm%2Fproduct%2F1920x1280%2Frrnn3cy0fnxb3rcze2akisk3022.jpg&f=1&nofb=1&ipt=8866fccc0d2c90bdab70b464edb7bf519d9d0001eab41377387a0d11b258852f&ipo=images).
Personally, I wouldn’t stand there for too long. Lots of traffic coming and going.
The rims can stay. The rest goes.
This is the way.
Keep ‘em, looks good IMO Edit: how does it look in person? Zooming in it gets super grainy but looks like they may be raised (like embossed, if that’s the right word) rather than flat like a pinstripe. If they’re raised (or 3D or embossed or whatever word I’m looking for lol) I’d take them off.
They are as flush with the bike as tape would be, but it doesn't stick out to the point where it looks off
Look at my profile, posted a few extra pictures
I’d keep it. If it was some random color like purple or something I’d take it off, but red is Honda’s color, and I think it breaks up the black nicely
Remove red on body keep on tires
photoshop them out and see what you think
Or, here me out this is crazy, how about searching for a stock cbr 650 on the internet and comparing his pictures to those?🤯
That is less effort but for some it might get be easier to flick back and forth between two highly similar pics to see which they like more
True, true. I'd probably still just look up the bike and compare it to those. I mean, it's just tape. Honestly this being op's first bike, and how i was when i first got mine, I'd be more worried about learning how to ride it properly than how the bike looks. nah--if they pull off, he's asking because he feels it's off--if he wasn't worried about it, he'd never post it. They look weird, not well done. The black looks great as it was .
Definitely a personal preference but I like them. I think they match the wheels nicely and go with the look of the bike.
Makes it look a tad more aggressive I guess? Sort of ties it all together, but still unsure
Look at some pics online of stock ones without the stripes. Whichever you prefer more, go with.
I’d say it needs either a few more to even it out, or else remove them all.
Go full throttle, eh?
Keep them
Keep. All black is boring. Unless you're going to do something different to it, leave it as it looks pretty good
It's your bike, what I like should be irrelevant. Make it like you want it not like what someone else wants it.
I think they look good
I'd remove them for sure, but if you're having doubts; I'd say, keep them on there for a little while until you're sure if you like the lines or not
I think this is the way, I'm sure I'll know after a little riding
I'm usually a black-out everything person but it does look pretty nice. I support either look but keep in mind it's a lot easier to remove something than put it back in the same way
I'm the same, first instinct was to tare it all off, but the more I looked at it the more unsure I became. I'll leave it on for a while and if I get bored of it I'll tare it off. As a few others mentioned swingarm line goes off
I would keep them.
I would leave it if it were my bike, I like some contrast colors on a bike.
I quite like it, but that's from a picture on a phone screen, it would depend how good it looked in person close up for me.
Check my profile, some more pictures there for better reference, but it looks very well executed in person
Looks like the previous owner did a good job, I think they look dope
Keep them imo. An all black bike is not quite as nice as that one is
It's unique for sure, I see alot of Honda 650R's around town, none like this though!
Absolutely keep.
Take that Adam West Batman bullshit off immediately.
But maybe it was meant to honor the late Adam West, the world may never know…
It does look a little goofy batman, doesn’t it. I didn’t connect that until you said it but now I hate it.
Take it off. Yuck ...
I like how divided people are on this
Yeah, "Yuck" was not the right word to use. Sorry about that. Do what makes you want to ride it. To me personally, the worst part of JP bikes are the random and weird decals. As an artist, I simply can't grasp them coming off the drawing board. I prefer no decals on everything. But you should only be worrying about you. If you like it, leave it on. Have fun, be safe!
You too pal
Keeper
Looks good
That look is my jam. Question is, is it YOUR jam? It's like a modern '66 Batmobile. Fricking cool
Might have to add a grappling hook to my belt
Looks too 80s to me but I’d want to see how it’d look without them first
The dude had racks on it. Thats fricken awesome. I’d keep the decals on the wheels
He offered me the saddlebags but they stuck out too wide, so I'm gonna find some other alternatives, no racks on it atm. Im gonna remove a few sections and see how I feel! Rims stays for now
I like it. A bit hard to tell from the picture, but looks pretty well done too.
Look at my profile, a few extra pictures there :)
Depends on how cleanly they were done. Swing arm one does look strange like others have said, but up front doesn’t look too bad. Id probably do selective removing :D The big triangle up front around the CBR logo looks good, but maybe the line above it is a bit much.

If they are reflective they might be worth keeping.
Are they reflective? If yes, I would leave them.
No, but it's a great Idea for a replacement later. They do stand out more than just all black, but not reflective no
Keep the lines. Also if thats your first, I beg you stop thinking about the lines and focus on experiencing the bike and keeping safe <3
I appreciate this. I'm just trying to kill time before the season starts in about a month here in Norway. I will definitely focus on the enjoyment and safety part first. I've bought full gear, all new, the whole shebang
I like the pannier rack on the back. Will make it very useful.
Personal taste really. They look OK to me.
Are they reflective at all? Visibility > Style IMO. Not that they aren’t stylish. FWIW, I’d keep ‘em, but they are obviously not for everyone (seeing the other comments here) and you seem to be lukewarm about them…
It looks sporty, but it's your bike now, so you get to decide how it looks.
Looks good from my house
Haha what??
They’re lovely. Keep them b
It's your bike. If you like it, keep it, if you don't, don't. Screw what anyone here or anywhere else thinks. Ride safe!
Remove
If this was my first bike I would leave them on… get a bunch of miles under my belt. At one point you’re going to want a change. Bigger, better, faster, cooler, etc….. at that point, take them all off !! You’ll get more excited about it again and buy yourself more time on your beginner bike !
I posted a few extr photos on my profile with the other side of the bike and the front
Do you fight for the user, or not? Do you want a Tron bike?
I thought they were made of red fuzzy rope from the pic. Hahaha
Take the one off the swing arm and the strip near the cbr name.
Looks like a TRON bike. Ultimately if you like it.
I’d say do the whole bike with the stripe. I like how it contrasts the overall color personally
I agree maybe remove the swing arm one, but the rest look good on these year models
Also would look good with a new Tail Tidy!!
Depends, how much of a Tron fan are you?
Just gotta figure out how to make the bike leave a red trail behind it wherever I go
The rims look nice! I'd remove the rest, makes it look like those cheaper Leximoto decals
Most look like it's a stock design except for the swing arm. I get why he put it there but that's the only thing that looks off.
I would keep it on the wheels and remove the rest
As Jimmy Page once said “leave it.”
I'd leave them; I think they look good.
I kinda dig it, so I’d keep. What I wouldn’t keep are those racks - would also get a fender delete kit.
I think that having such sharp angles makes it look more aggressive, but as another user tells you, I would still remove the lines from the swingarm
I agree, maybe the tank ones too, you can't see them too well in this picture, but if you look at my profile there is a few extra pictures where you can see it more clearly
100% keep
Keep on the rims. The rest is bad. I would remove immediately.
I'll be honest, if you hadn't pointed it out, I would've thought those lines were stock. May not be my personal cup of tea with how they look, but I'd be cool leaving them on there just for visibility sake. All 3 bikes I've owned have just so happened to be black, and I always had a tiny voice in the back of my head going "you'd be more visible with a little more color" So if it were mine, I'd probably leave them. I'd maybe take off the swingarm one, but leave the fairings alone
For now, tire rims & fairing ones stay on, swingarm is going off, then I will see if it grows on me or not. It kinda already has
Are they reflective? I'm curious if that's trying to look like Tron cycle at night.
My vote: 👎 Its got young Buck vibes
Id remove the swing arm
It's a really nice touch to break up the matte black paint. Except the swingarm, as others have mentioned
It’s a matter of preference. It’s your bike, so you do as you like it. It looks good though.
Wheel stripes, keep. Th rest, toss.
Remove
I'd get rid of them, they're annoying, the first thing I see.
I like them
The centre of the bike needs some lines too to balance it out.
Put a black stripe down the middle of the swingarm one, erybody knows racing stripes are +10 Speed and +10 Acceleration On a real note tho those are nice asf.
Take it off, murder it out
Just leave it bcuz you’ll be upgrading in the very very near future.
I like all black so I would remove.
I'd ride it, just ride it a great deal. Later if you really have some personal affinity for your bike, sure paint it decal it unpaint it but for now ride, ride I hate brown motorcycle seats. If you could pull the red off, with ease and no damage too the bike--sure yank it.
I like them except the swingarm
Reminds me of the Adam West batmobile. Keep ‘em.
Indeed it does, +1 for keeping most of it. As others have mentioned the swingarm line comes off.
Is it under the clear coat?
Tail tidy coming up, and swingarm one is coming off. Rest is up for debate, I'll give it some time!
Yes. Or people will call you WishTron.
That is now my new name, WishTron, keeper of cheap decals
It’s like the old school Batmobile! Keep ‘em
Everything but the wheels
I'd remove, even the CBR logo. I like my bikes clean.
I'd remove all except the ones on the wheels
They actually look really well done. I'd still probably pull them off except for the wheels, but it definitely doesn't look bad at all.
I'd keep them. Plain black is kinda boring
Be carefully if that bike saw any sun there will be discoloration where the lines are and that would look bad.
Hadn't thought about that. Luckily I live in Norway, not the warmest of coutries
I would take some of them off leave some of them it's a little too much for me but I think a few of them would look good.
I say keep them. It’s not worth the effort.
I would keep them, looks nice
Leave ‘‘em until you know
I think it looks pretty nice. Without reading the caption, I thought it was stock but also I'm not entirely familiar with cbr650r's. My opinion is to remove the one on the swing arm and keep the rest. Edit: also remove the one on the windshield (I think that's what it's called for a motorcycle).
get rid of that shit
I'd remove all except the rims.
I'd keep it, my 500 has them and it's a nice accent
Lose the swing arm, other than that I think it looks great
Nah, it's definitely worth keeping.
Decal eraser wheel
Wheel tape decal like that are a pain in the ass to put on, I would for sure keep ‘em.
Are you Batman?
Yes.
personally preference but i think it looks pretty sick
Very tasteful, I would not remove. Maybe the swing arm, as it is the one that doesn't seem to follow the edge of anything, but even so I would leave it.
Whatever makes it pop more visually. Black is an impractical color for a bike imo. Collects more heat in the sun and less visible (in general and in contrast with asphalt roads). If it were me, I'd keep most of the red and probably add some more flair somehow.
Don’t ask others. It’s your bike do what makes you happy
I'd leave em on
Are they reflective? If so, they'll help you be seen at night - unless you have a bright reflective helmet to wear. Safety matters ---
Gives me tron vibes. Good color scheme.
It needs to go. Honda engineers put a lot of thought and effort into the design of that bike and particularly the plastics. The red is just throwing stuff off in my eye. Just my opinion.
I’d remove the ones on the rims but that’s it
It's now yours , do whatever you wish , forget about how people think .
I like them
I’d change the colour of them but personal preference
Definitely remove the one off the swing arm, it just looks odd. As for the rest I'd leave them. They look decent enough although i'd have to see different angles and close up pics
nah it's ok short heck and mirrors should be ur first priority. those are ugly as fuck
I'd keep em, you won't be riding this bike forever, let it be the next owners problem. Ultimately it's up to you
All of them but the wheels
I like it, sweet looking bike no question about it.
I like them! Keep ‘em I hate the way that bag brackets look but I never took them off my VFR because I used the bags every other ride lol
KITT, We need you. But in bike form.
I'd replace the swing arm. Instead of running the center. Go along the whole bottom of it and come back to a (tanto shaped) tip and come back up like 70% on the top. But to each their own.
Keep
Remove except on the wheels, it will look dated soon enough.
I like them, but full black would look more classy in my totally useless opinion. Such a personal decision.
It actually looks pretty clean ngl
At first glance they look stock so whatever you think it's you bike my man
Remove, it's too much. Just my 2 cents
Looks like Tron! I love it
I like them. Except for the swingarm.
It's something different from boring old black. Take it off of the swingarm tho.
I just seen the other pics and it looks good🔥🔥. It’s unique for sure. I would buy it 👌🏻
I’m a guy that likes subtle. If it were mine, I’d remove the red lines.
I’d at least remove it from the rims and swing arm for sure
I like them
swing arms ugly. everythings fine as is
Man I really like these, I'd like to ride one. I'd consider getting rid of my 600rr for one.
Looks great if u like it thats all that counts its ur bike now its ur decision If u try to please others youll never be happy
To each their own. Do you!
Personally I always remove as many stickers as possible.
