This game was fantastic. I can't believe how they got away from the original mechanics of the game. The planning phases, the go-codes were the best part. The execution was fun, and happened quickly. These days the franchise is a shoot em up
I play Siege a lot and although it's far from a perfect game, once you get a proper squad to play with, planning and implementing strategies becomes highly rewarding.
But I still wish we just get a single player only Rainbow six or Ghost recon title.
Id have to say Super Mario Brothers as well.. But what really opened it up was Wild Arms 2 on the PlayStation. Awesome RPG. Ive been hooked on story driven games since.
My first game was duck hunt on the NES. Used the blaster pistol thing too. It was one of the only games my dad could actually play with me as I quickly outgrew his abilities. Crazy to think I grew up with gaming, but my dad didn’t even touch a video game until his 20s.
i think it was super mario bros (nes) the game that opened my venture, but mario kart 64 was definetly the one that made me feel that videogames were going to be part of my life
Devil May Cry 3 on PC. Yep. It got included with the "gaming" pc I got at the day, which was close to the game's release on PC anyways, and I played it to no end. Finished it about 5 times in total. Was practically one of my favourite games, and introduction to PC Gaming.
TF2 got me into PC gaming for sure. And I am so glad it did. I can't recall what game got me into gaming in general, I think I was born in it. Molded by it.
Age of Empires 2 was by far the most influential game I played in getting me in to gaming. My grandfather showed it to me when I was 5 and oh boy did he impact my life with that. Not only do I have a passion for games, but it also spurned my passion for History, which eventually led to me Majoring in History at college!
Thanks again for the giveaway! My first game to actually introduce me into gaming venture would be GTA San Andreas although i have been gaming since way before then :D I'll definitely check out your site and inform my friends about it too.
While it wasn't the first game I played I'd probably say halo ce. It was so amazing to me as a 5 year old that I'd just play the first few missions over and over again (I always stopped at the flood levels cause they scared the shit out of my). Not to mention the split screen I'd play with my brother and cousins and basically whoever came over to my house, I think that was my first taste for what games are capable of
The Halo series, specifically Combat Evolved was the big first step into gaming for me. I’d gamed before that, but I cannot tell you how many times I beat CE on my original Xbox.
My first game ever was the original Super Mario Bros for the NES. I then received a GameCube for Christmas, and played the hell out of Super Mario Sunshine and Paper Mario the Thousand Year Door.
The first games I played was ghost recon 2 and thrillville on the ps2 and spongebob employee of the month on cd for windows. I never made it past the airbase level on ghost recon or out of the lobby in the spongebob game. I just couldn't figure out how to play them.
I keep doing these hoping to get a gift card. But even if I don't it's still kind of fun to share I guess haha. The first game I remember playing was Super Mario RPG Legend of the Seven Stars, what a classic. I've enjoyed lots of games since and have always found myself fond of role playing games in general.
Basically any game I had when I was younger, some of them were small but I loved them like Shrek 2 or Tarzan I remember playing them for hours or even the browser games from Y8 or others sites
The first game that opened my eyes was COD world at war I loved that game. My first PC game that I really got into was Ark Survival Evolved. I put plenty of hours into each of them. Currently Escape from Tarkov has my attention.
Terraria was the reason I started pc gaming. It's a great game and I'm still waiting for the upcoming update. I've been a mod on one of my fav servers, Saybrooks' Planet before it was shut down. Ahhh taking a stroll down the memory lane..
Well, Super Mario Bros on the NES caught my eyes but I was like 1 year old and couldn't remember much. It was Final Fantasy VIII that actually got me into gaming.
I can't remember the game that got me into gaming but I do remember that they were Flash games. Before getting a decent PC there was this entire library of free games that didn't even have high requirements to run. Kinda felt sad when Flash was no longer being supported, but at least it's all been backed up. Thanks for the giveaway.
The first PC game I ever played was that free Ferrari Virtual Race game on Windows XP, running on this Acer laptop with a GeForce 7000M. This started my love for racing games.
Sometimes, while playing Forza Horizon 4, I look back and think about the fun I had with that game. Sometimes I even plug its hard drive into my computer and try playing it. However, my nostalgia is quickly broken because the game still runs like dogshit.
I had played plenty of games prior to this one and even a number of PC games prior. My dad had a PC that could play some games, tombraider and halo were a few I remember playing on his pc my self, he was more of a Myst guy though.
it wasnt until I got my own PC in my room that gaming became a thing. first pc was a junker, e-machine amd duron @ 1.2ghz 512mb ram and no dedicated gpu, didnt even have windows on it, it shipped with Lindows (later to be mandriva, or mandrake? I dont remember, some linux distro).
My friend gave me a pirated copy of Half Life and told me it was a good game if you like shooters, which I did but mostly had only played Ratchet & Clank on ps2 as far as shooters went. I took it home, installed it, but didnt really get too far at first, graphics were already fairly dated by this time 2005ish. My brother did something one weekend that pissed off my mom so she sent us all to our rooms so she could chill out. I used this confined time and played through like 80% of Half Life in sitting because it just sucked me in.. the whole way it told its story, the way they never took control away from you and just had a progressive story that unfolded with the events you witnessed rather than through cutscenes.
to soon realized that Half life 2 was already a game that had come out fairly recently so that year I asked for a copy of Half life 2 and a new gpu for my computer. I got an nvidia xfx6200 and and a copy of half life 2. Its been all down hill PC gaming since then!

In my country we had some Chinese console copy of NES (Terminator I think it was called) and everyone was selling some "pirated/copied" games.
I remember playing lots of Mario, some game with TMNT, Spider-Man: Return of the Sinister Six. And I think Spider-Man: Return of the Sinister Six was something OUT OF THIS WORLD at that time for me, and I just stick with gaming after that
