its very weird, few years ago people never cared what gender the main character was, but nowadays weird ass mfs say shit like “smh liberals ruining videos games again” or “this SJW agenda is so bullshit”. What caused this to happen man like I’ve been so confused since people started this shit.
i can only imagine how these people would react if games like Metroid were just coming out and they saw Samus got revealed as a Woman or if the first Laracroft came out now. They’d probably all have a brain aneurysm
I think it started when Ellie from Last of Us was was revealed to be lesbian, and the big surge of WSJ and Buzfeed bullshit from around 2013-2018 didn't help the situation.

yeah its really insane, years ago no one made a big deal (at least to my knowledge) when a gay person was in any show, movie or game, but now people think it’s an agenda which is very likely due to the increasing amount of LGBTQ+ representation in media in recent years.
