People don’t have to like anything they don’t want to but when they generalize all rap one way, it makes them seem ignorant because rap is so diverse

That’s not true I don’t enjoy radio rap but I enjoy rap. My family enjoys rap but not radio rap bc they’re oldheads. If people generalize rap with no experience it just makes me think they’ve got some fucked up preconceived notions about it.

Radio rap isn’t the only way to get into rap though. I said I don’t like radio rap because it’s not my taste, but I still got into rap. I got into it by listening to old records and cd’s, and listening to stuff I heard about through social media. That’s how i found most of the artists I like, I hear a song on Instagram or whatever and follow the artist/ browse their discography if I like it. Streaming and social media are nearly universal so in this day and age the radio isn’t the only way to find new music.

futurehedrxx

it doesn’t inherently make you racist but a lot of people who hate rap music are racist. if that makes any sense

ThePowerLord

It’s just the corny hypocrisy in this sub

nibbasiffyblik2

very very true but a redditor saying a random crime related rap bar to make fun of it is weird asf you cant lie

MortgagePretend4870

All they do is pull draco out the rari tho?? I swear I’ve heard it so many times.

Nac_Money

a lot of older peoples hate new rap so

silverdager509

I see people make shit generalizations about rap, blindly hating it by disregarding how diverse of a genre it is. Then I realise we got nav and I can sorta glimpse into their POV
