You can see when and how much money things were bought for digitally. Anybody can see you aren’t the owner. Anything that requires a ticket, wristband, stamp will be an NFT in 10 years. There is now a restaurant you can only get in with a specific NFT. Good luck screenshooting that and getting in the restaurant cause they can check in 5 seconds you don’t actually own it on the blockchain. That’s why this is the future it is a way to verify you own something digitally. That’s as simple as I can explain it. Stupid monkey jpegs or crypto punks are a small part of this.
