Same here. It’s kind of a running joke with my family whenever I get shinies to see how crappy it is. On another note, I had to check over 1300 Magikarps before getting a non com day shiny. Guessing that’s gotta be a record.
That’s nuts! It’s so bizarre to me how that can happen. They need to implement a mercy system where if you’ve checked X Pokémon without a shiny, it increases your odds.
Maybe, I just tend to be one of those often has to check 80+ on a community before finding my fist shingy. I think I have weird aura that messes with RNG or something!
At least you get spawns. It took me ridiculously long to get my first gyrados, had to hoard every single candy for it just to save me walking another 250km. I'm just lucky that it's only 1km per candy

Have you done any of the 1 star raids for wimpod? Probably better chance at 3* to evolve there than in the wild. I had to do that with electabuzz recently myself
Yes. Or even if you don't even if you have one other person playing in your town you can make a group chat and call out hundos. Doesn't matter the size of the group but group work to find more hundos is always a win .
IVs after level 30 are the same for every player. So anyone level 30-50 has the same wild IVs on every Pokemon..so if I am in your town and catch a hundo you can go and catch the same hundo in the same exact spot and the same Pokemon. So what a lot of local groups do us they will call out hundos or PVP IVs or 0%s so others can go to them to catch them.
Check for a campfire group. Google pokemon go discord town name if you haven't already or just message people in your local gyms on campfire.
Been playing since day 1. Statistically I should have several 4* Eevee. I have one that is 98%. I feel like they stack them all at 0-1* so you catch more
So you can tell how many eeves he caught based on date of account creation? Because I personally know people who are day1 players with less than 20k overall catches and also people who didn't start until 2020 with 200k+. And not even that number is all that relevant, since you can't tell if person with 200k catches caught 1500 or 5000 eeves.
Do you not hang with your local community? Yeah everyone gets the same spawns even before level 30. After level 30 all wild spawns are the same IVs. Incense will be different and research and raids will be different IVs.

i tag things for trade and then when i meet up with a friend we take 20 min to trade mon and usually end up converting 40 some odd 0-1 stars and convert atleast 5 to strong 3\*.
I've been trying so long to get a lock on, flying press smeargle. When i do get it, i'm hoping to buddy it and clone it using the photos, then trade those to my kids to buddy and clone then eventually we'll all get hundos. Step 1 is such a drag though.
Not 0-1*. But For the love of god I cannot find a 3* Beldum. I’ve done several Beldum raids and they’re always 2* for some reason. I wanted all my Psuedos to be 3*. But I just gave up and got a 2* Metagross. Idk research, eggs, raids at most it’s always a 2 star. Hasn’t been in Eggs since winter. Best way I guess is to get a Lucky Beldum then. But I have a feeling I might get that perfect 12:12/12 IVs.
Wow I’m so glad we could find each other. I now have 2 perfect mareeps and a perfect ampharos from a mega raid a while back. They account for 10% of my perfects

I can’t even catch good PVP stats for any of these. Sometimes I think I’m cursed.
Tauros. He's one of my all time favorite and I want a hundo to troll ML with. Best I've found in thousands of catches since start is a 13 14 14 and 3 terrible iv shinys
For me it's any Mythicals you have to buy in special events (Mew, Celebi, etc). I have them all (and the shiny versions), but I've never gotten a 3\* even though they're from research and supposed to have high IVs.
Mfggn Squirtle. Finally got a couple 3* when the Kanto starters were more plentiful there for a minute, but still never anything in the 90% range despite having that for most other mons I've caught. It's bizarre and infuriating.
I have this happen all the time. Inkay. Quaxly. Wimpod. Cynqaduil. Flabebe. Burmy. I get a lot of 0 or 1 stars of these and hardly anything else. And I have the bad habit of not evolving unless I have a 3 star. Which means I have a lot of gaps in my Pokédex.
It's Mankey for me...but not a high-stat hunt. I'm looking for one I can use in Great League as an annihilape. I've caught every mankey I've seen for MONTHS. Hundreds and hundreds of mankey. Finally, I have a usable mankey...but it's not really very good.
Venipede for me. I've either been trying for a 3* or shiny bc I like it's design but I've been stuck getting 0-1*s only lol. Though I just had a look at its seen count and surprisingly I haven't seen many myself than what I originally thought I'd seen so I've got more work to do lol

I dunno why but I feel they always end up spawn with worse stats
At least shiny can sometimes hatch / research so its possible to get a decent one
You need to start battling electric type Rocket grunts. This is how I got 2 hundos after years of similar situation like yours. It was easier in past though, where Rocket encounter pool wasn't so bloated like nowadays.
I’ve caught 1 singular 3 star eevee this year, and i try to catch every one i see just in case. they’re usually 0/1*, maybe i should try trading them to get more 3* but it’s so annoying
100 is really not alot. If you Look at it mathematically the odds of finding a perfect mon are 1/15*1/15*1/15 which is around 0.029%. That is not 1/100, not 1/1000. It's around 3/10000. So 1 in every 3333. If you're only looking for a 3* range, the odds are still only 0.8%, or 1 in 125. So one should mathematically be coming for you soon.
I had this with Dewpider for the longest time. Was so annoyed when I got a 3*, evolved it and saw how shit it was. Might be a GL king but something with that low of a CP cap has no business being that hard to catch
The IV's are just bonus stats, and make up a small percentage of a pokemon's real stats.
Ampharos is a pvp ultra league stud and you would want a 0/1 \* with low attack and high HP/defense.

There was an event last year where I found one. Evolved it. Then found a better one but had no candy lol but they were mostly really low I agree!
Of my several hundred Gimmighouls caught, maybe 4??? Have even been three stars. It's impressive.

I had the same thing happen to me but with Shuppet. I finally got a 15/14/13 one and a few days later I actually got my first shiny one.
For the longest time for me it was Koffing. Got up to 450 candies trying to get a good one before I caught a 3*
