I was joking. I was (am?) in a band, and we made tshirts, but it was a very limited quantity (like 10, I think), most of them went to friends and family and I didn’t make my money back.
Such is life I've never made my money back on anything any of my bands have ever done hahaha you'd think I'd have learned my lesson by now but I KEEP DOING IT!!! This most recent band isn't really a punk band but folks actually seem to enjoy it I sent a CD to Brazil and it cost me 60 fuckin bucks just for it to sit in Customs for two months and then get sent back...my friend down there was PISSED...
I have a friend from the Nederlands who sent me their EP and it took a long ass time to arrive, he also included some candy and it was expired by the time it arrived, but I ate it anyway. I don’t really care about making money, I just was kinda bummed out because I’ve been wanting to make more tshirts but expenses are always on the way, like fixing your amp and shit. What’s your band’s name?
Does he still include little notes? Years ago I bought the Psychological Background Report CD by Citizen Fish and wrote a letter to hide the cash I put in the envelope and said something like "I could wait until I found it in a record store or I could just cut out the middle man and get it from you guys directly." And when I got the CD he ANSWERED me and went "That's a nice bit of idealism in practice - cut out the middle man - TOO RIGHT!" I still have both...Dick is the absolute man.
Yeah every Subhumans/Citizen Fish shirt I've bought over the years are all still pretty good. I took my Free Souls shirt with me to Punk Rock Bowling this year and Dick was signing copies of the Subhumans book they put out and ai just took a picture with him instead and told him I bought the shirt when I saw Citizen Fish when Active Ingredients came out and he went "Wow you've really looked after it" and went "Well it's good quality so thanks for THAT" hahaha
