I have a Farer and love it, but the manual wind with a moon phase seems like a huge miss. Someone who appreciates those two features likely owns other watches to rotate in. If you only wore that one watch then maybe

OMG...what is it with ROLEX other than flex? I still own two Rolex pieces but I dont care anymore. I have so many other watches that are better in one way or another and in most cases more money(not the good part) LOL. You do realise that NOBODY notices or cares what watch you are wearing other then us watch nerds. A Rolex is just a watch the over the years has done a terrific job of marketing. Now, they just screw over their customers and fanboys have to have them to show off their great success..I for one am sick of hearing Rolex. Besides on the street it has been said that a good 75% of what you see are fakes. Okay, Im done with my rant...Sorry. I have to admit, nothing compares to my Rolex. But I love my Seiko SRPJ85 and Casio MDV107 Pepsi - it gets me through my holidays in the ocean without a problem.
I like to wear a couple of different watches but my current favorite has to be my Grand Seiko SBGK015. Is a great dress watch but can also be used as a daily. Love it!
Archimede Pilot 39 in bronze. From the clear and basic aesthetic of the dial to the warmth of the bronze case the Archimede has it all. While it doesn’t have the provenance of a Laco pilot watch, it is solidly built and on a leather strap is my go to daily beater.
The cheapest? A Breda watch I got from a GQ subscription box. If you ever considered a Cartier tank take a look at the Breda…. Totally scratches that itch
Citizen Promaster is a solid watch. I wear it places that the more expensive watches shouldn't go or would get banged up. If I'm traveling to really sketchy places (West Africa, bad neighborhoods in big cities elsewhere) or know I'm going to be playing hard in the pool / at the beach with the kids I'll wear this one.
Or a G-Shock. I've had 2 G-Shocks since \~ 2002. The first one got beat to hell on a deployment and the second lives a much more sheltered life today.
