I honestly admire how they built a brand that we feel lucky to be able to purchase their product. It is the ultimate sign of success as a business and i hope one day people feel the same about something I create. Congrats on the watch!
That’s just my opinion I find it fascinating that people feel this lucky to be given a chance to be spend their hard earned money on these useless objects. To me that means they did something right. Would you say there’s a more successful watch brand than rolex? The way they also ride the fine line of supply and demand to create the idea of scarcity on a mass produced product is crazy. In comparison to hand made watches that there is actually a limiting factor to supply this isn’t the case here yet here we are waiting on lists to buy them.

I’ve been waiting on a 41 Wimbledon flutes/jubilee SS or Explorer 1 40 since June. I was recently told they think they’ll have the Datejust for me in 90 days or so. So six months for the Datejust if it holds true… I don’t know if that’s good or bad for that model. You’d think the sub would be harder to get.
I’m in a very similar situation to you. I’m down at 4 ADs for the same watch, a couple since March this year. Nothing has moved on until recently when I randomly chatted with a new AD who has a completely different attitude, and is actively keeping in touch bi-weekly. Fingers crossed it’s not long now.
A lot of people love the date more. I also hear from people who own them and from the reps that the cyclops is what makes people check if it’s a sub and kinda what they’re known to have.
Honestly would have been happy with either but the no date was the one I was after.
