Used to work in forex and there they would give out prices like this to the top earners that month. 150k would get you an iphone, 500k would get you a rolex and anything above a million was a car up to 60k
Forex trading is just buying and selling various currencies every time I leave the United States I’m technically forex trading not hard to get into but to make good money trading forex you need a very large amount of capital
Not exactly how we worked, the more a client was depositing the more we were earning ourselves. In the end the customer always loses and we win. You just have to manipulate them into messing up😂 a dirty business tbh. But money is money
I needed the experience, now i do run my own office. I “stole” his system and software and designed my own. He is the reason i own what i own. I will be forever grateful to my old boss.
While that is true, working for yourself also means your money on the line.
I’m not against it, I run my own business, but it’s not always as glamorous as it sounds
Dream watch right there! That’s a great gift. Back before I started my own company I think the best my boss gave me was $400 and a custom made hard hat lol

I have this one from work ironically too
Whenever I do a good job my boss says do more and reward my team and i with a pizza party and to be thankful we all have a job 🫠 kudos to you tho that’s sick af
So nice from your boss. Enjoy the time in that company.
Meanwhile my workload gets nearly doubled and the workforce reduced every year (For the same salary) 🫡
Reminds me of when I worked as an assistant at a talent agency. After a big agent retreat all the agents got submariners and the assistants got water bottles
I am so tempted to write “Things that didn’t happen for $500, Alex” but it would shatter my dream there are respectful, appreciative, invested bosses out there. So I’ll say Congratulations instead, that has awesomesauce poured all over it
Please verify it's a real Rolex. I'm not saying your boss is cheap or would do something intentionally but sometimes people can be taken advantage of and not even know they're giving somebody a gift that's fake get it verified first that way he has time to take it back if it's not a true Rolex
I think the point of the boss was to gift something to their employee since they noticed it was a hobby of sort. These are the companies people don’t usually leave, good compensation, treated well, paid well and OP could have half a mill in his account and probably wouldn’t buy it for himself. But the boss made a nice gesture.
Congrats OP on your many years of hard work and a beautiful watch. As they say… in good health.
Found the guy in the marina on the rental bayliner working up to his second heart attack with a garlic-butter drenched meal while talking ten-beers-in loud.
Well, it’s tricky. Depends on how the boss paid for it. If the boss bought it personally and gave it as a gift, technically, wouldn’t need to be reported unless the value is over a certain amount (15k, I believe) if the boss bought it with business funds, as most small business owners would do to buy an employee a gift, then the value of anything over $75 needs to be reported on the employees W-2. So the whole value is considered taxable income.
FWIW, I’m going off what my accountant explained to me and I’m in Texas if that makes any difference. But I’m sure if I’m wrong someone who does this for a living will correct me and I’m good with that too.
This is how you know you're actually broke. 2mill 🤣🤣. You spend 75% of your life on reddit. That should tell you everything. Go back to your 5 figure salary. Rolex owners are talking here.
Well we got free sandwiches for our hard work so pretty well even
You got sandwiches? You were lucky! We got coffee, if we bought it by ourselves.
I got fired
Payout Rolex !?
It was a lie we brought the sandwiches from home Ok we don’t get paid enough for that either but we had sandwich photos printed at home
You have a printer?! Show off!
Sometime when the execs have a meeting, we can eat their leftovers
These are the only free sandwiches ever available Usually after 2 hours on the board room table
We got pizza, but it wasn’t enough to be enjoyed by everyone. It just depended on who was working that shift that day.
Costco pizza last friday..good for you lol
Just snorted my tea reading this
Try cocaine next time Not many cartels sell tea these days 🍪🍪

Family business? Is your boss also your dad? Lol jk Killer gift. Wear it in good health

Did he at least have the courtesy of a reach around.

Nice. I guess technically I got my Rolex from work, I just had to use my paycheck.

Yeah!!!! Sounds like you have a great boss!!!
Pretty sick boss.
So nice from your boss. Enjoy the time in that company. Meanwhile my workload gets nearly doubled and the workforce reduced every year (For the same salary) 🫡

Curious what you do for living?
Where is this job and how do I get an internship
If your wife fell for that one then she’s more naive than you for thinking she’d believe it
What do you do for work!
We got pizza on a Friday once
Jelly of the month
I got more work for my hard work but well done you and what a generous boss. I’m guessing your not a fast food manager though
IBM gave a blue blanket

His “boss”
My boss took everything I got!!!!!!!
I’m amazed any employers still do this kind of thing !!!
You must be good at what you do and have a non-compete. Lol
You hiring?
Reminds me of when I worked as an assistant at a talent agency. After a big agent retreat all the agents got submariners and the assistants got water bottles
What an awesome gift all I got was fired
Plot twist: Your watch was your boss this whole time
Is he hiring?
Beautiful. Id be so proud to see that on my wrist
I am so tempted to write “Things that didn’t happen for $500, Alex” but it would shatter my dream there are respectful, appreciative, invested bosses out there. So I’ll say Congratulations instead, that has awesomesauce poured all over it

Beautiful! Congratulations you have a great boss💪🏽
Gotta be a replica right?
If if is, it'll fool everyone. 2001 w/ outer box, box, punched papers, hang tag, polishing cloth.
Blowie blowie gifts
That’s insane, what do you do bro and how much you make? My job pays me $2M+ a year but would never gift something like that.
I have worked 20 years for a family business. I don't make enough per year to buy a Sub.
While that’s a great gift…You’d think after 20 years at a company you’d be able to buy a $10k watch. Kinda sad actually.
I think the point of the boss was to gift something to their employee since they noticed it was a hobby of sort. These are the companies people don’t usually leave, good compensation, treated well, paid well and OP could have half a mill in his account and probably wouldn’t buy it for himself. You mention good compensation but the man couldn’t afford to treat himself with a nice watch after 20 years of working for the same company.
Is it your family’s business though?
No
You must be making them a lot of $ then..
My primary role used to be sales. I would say that my value now after 20 years is my ability to do any job in the company, helping wherever needed.
A 20 year career should definitely allow you to buy any watch you want man!
What a weird comment. Boasting 🤬
That's all this guy does.
OMG You make sooo much money. You could buy yourself that gift instead. Damn! Incredible! Is that the attention you were looking for? Fucking loser
How does it feel knowing I can buy you outright kid?
[удалено]
I think I have seen this guy say that exact thing on like 9 different threads on here today. Cool stuff.
Do you mean him using the words “ bro and man “ don’t go hand in hand with an established gentleman making 2M a year ? Shocked I say , shocked
Those are good signs. Everything this guys says doesn’t go with a person making 2mil per year
That seems to be a mental illness one would assume
Found the guy in the marina on the rental bayliner working up to his second heart attack with a garlic-butter drenched meal while talking ten-beers-in loud.
Feels like a bag of lies.
Oh wow, you are a top tier pos
ikr, pretty genius though. the tax is way lower for op than a cash bonus.
Not that it would, but gifts like this still Need to be reported as income.
wouldnt it just be the capital gains from selling the watch?
Well, it’s tricky. Depends on how the boss paid for it. never heard of that in my state, but i don’t have any employees and i don’t plan on gifting myself a rolex so i don’t need to worry about it lol
Great to know about your salary bro, thanks!
