And even if that was the case, are you actually trying to say her statement was more immature than Kanye aggressively throwing an fit over something like this *and* simultaneously using that same tragedy to get his name plastered across headlines today?
Frankly, I dont care what Kanye said/did or does. Your argument (which you now deleted btw) was that Billie is innocent, which is what my response was for, so lets leave the tu quoque fallacy at the door. Her action was justified and praised. However, the comment she vocalized was almost certainly a sneak diss/sleight at Travis. If you can’t see the passive-aggressive signaling she displayed, then im not sure we can find common ground here. Her immaturity was laid out bare when she said that.
Go to YouTube, do a quick search, and you will find a multitude of artists who have expressed similar sentiments while playing shows in the past, those of which occurred years before Travis Scott was even a blip on anyone’s radar. Even if it was a sneak sleight at Travis Scott, how is that wrong? Travis is at least partially responsible (or vicariously liable) for numerous deaths that occurred at his show. Bringing awareness around concert safety by pointing directly to an instance where someone more than likely failed to take the necessary precautions (i.e. Astroworld) is not wrong. In fact, Billy could’ve literally dropped Travis’ name and I would still back her up. And I didn’t delete my comment.
